out of memory in build_hash_table
I recently installed rsync 2.5.5 on both my rsync server and client being
used. I installed the latest version because I was having problems with
rsync stalling with version 2.4.6 (I read that 2.5.5 was supposed to clear
this up or at least give more appropriate errors). I am still having
problems with rsync stalling even after upgrading to 2.5.5. It only stalls

CentOS 6: Logrotate / selinux problem
Ever since a recent power failure I have been getting a Logrotate error. My
machine is on a UPS -- it shutdown cleanly, but I suspect that its BIOS/RTC
battery is dead, since the machine came up thinking it was 1982 :-(. I reset
the clock and everything is fine, *except* I had to delete Logrotate's state
files (which had bad dates). But now Logrotate is raising the error:

Help debugging an issue with --fuzzy --fuzzy and --link-dest
I've identified a situation where the combination of --fuzzy --fuzzy
(yes: two of them) and --link-dest is not behaving as I'd expect. I'm
first wondering if my expectation is wrong. Assuming that it is not,
then I'm wondering how best to figure out the problem.
The double use of --fuzzy is based upon https://bugzilla.samba.org/
show_bug.cgi?id=4056 which should be present on

Rsync doing nothing and no error message
Hi *
I'm using rsync to mirror software from one Sun Workstation (mecc27) to the other (mecc29). (solaris 5.7)
worked perfect... 'til 1 week ago !!
Everybody claims nothing has been changed in the configs of the machines (couldn't find anything, though), but rsync is doing nothing at all. just after being called it exits without any error message, warning, whatever..
here the log

readline detection problems
Dear community,
I'm trying to install R-2.2.1 on an IRIX 6.2 (Unix System V Release 4)

Disk Size Issue
I am sure this is not a problem, but more of a "can we do this" question. We
are using Samba Version 2.0.6 and my problem is this:
We have one Samba server for a site, we NFS mount filesystems from various other
machines to the Samba server, we then create a directory on the Samba server and
then create links under that directory to each of the mounted filesystems we
want to share.

FILE CACHE/LOCKING DOES NOT WORK
The problem:
A file updated on a UNIX box (Solaris2.6) then viewed on a Win95 PC via
samba is fine, if you copy this file using Windows Explorer to e.g. your
desktop, this is fine first time. But, if you repeat this operation then
the file size reported by Windows Explorer is correct but the file size
reported on the local copy is still the original size. This operation needs
to be repeated

BIG delete list makes for BIGGER RAM requirements
So I'm doing daily backups with rsync, and weekly, I run it with
--delete after archiving the whole thing (this way I don't lose any
deleted files). All week long this runs fine, but when I add --delete,
rsync runs for a few hours then aborts because the box runs out of
memory.

[LLVMdev] LLVM JIT on a Baremetal x86 Machine !!!
Hi James,
Thanks again for bearing with me, you have been very helpful.
I have got the problem fixed. In fact I needed to override the 'LSeek'
implementation of SpecialFile in SpecialModule class as well.
The log for the working example is attached, just as a reference.
Now one more thing, when the build system creates the ISO9660 CD-ROM
Image, it executes the following commands:

Samba 3.0.7+Winbind+Cups 1.1.20: Printing from w2k OK, but cannot delete print jobs
Dear community,
I'am using samba as print server for w2k clients on a debian system:
samba 3.0.7-2
winbind 3.0.7-2
cupsys 1.1.20final+rc
It is possible on the w2k-machines to install printer drivers from samba and to
print via samba to the cups server. Within the cups server all jobs have the
correct username. If I try to delete pending print jobs from w2k

ZFS auto-snapshot in zone
Hello,
I''ve got auto-snapshots enabled in global zone for home directories of all users. Users log in to their individual zones and home directory loads from global zone. All works fine, except that new auto-snapshot have no properties and therefore can''t be accessed in zones.
example from zone:

haproxy + Apache + virtual hosts -> wrong host is displayed
Hello,
I hope my question is not off-topic here.
On CentOS 7.2.1511 I have installed:
haproxy-1.5.14-3.el7.x86_64
httpd-2.4.6-40.el7.centos.1.x86_64
The /etc/haproxy/haproxy.cfg binds HAProxy to
ports 80 and 443 and accepts HTTPS to slova.de:

option forwardfor except 127.0.0.0/8

--link-dest. Time to 'building file list' incrementing
Any ideas anyone?
I still need at least a weekly backup of all data.
The current workaround is just for the most active directories.
Are there any diagnostics I can do which might shed some light on this?
Thanks
