[LLVMdev] Clobbering llvm.eh.selector return
Funny I remember that code (DwarfEHPrepare), wondering at the time why it was doing this. Thanks for your response, as I can now stop trying figure out how I am introducing this error, and more importantly now will be able to go back to DwarfEHPrepare, and understand it better knowing one of its purposes. However the result of my tests indicates that the underlying register used by the

[PATCH] Drop SETGROUPS_NOOP
Hi, the SETGROUPS_NOOP define is used only for Cygwin. But it's also combined with the HAVE_SETGROUPS test in bsd-misc.c. So, since setgroups() exists and is functional in Cygwin, this is actually a noop in the more general sense. The below patch drops that entirely. I installed ImageMagick via fink and port, but R can't seem to find it.
Hi, all, I have been trying to use adimpro. I have installed ImageMagick via fink and also through MacPorts. I have tried them installed separately and together, but R can't seem to recognize that they are there. Perhaps, a Mac user out there that also uses R would be able to help. Much appreciated, Art

discount submitted to Fink
hello folks! i've packaged discount-1.3.2 so that it builds under Fink (http://www.finkproject.org ) and submitted my package for validation (https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=414256&aid=2654852&group_id=17203 ). this may be a good solution for someone who wants to use discount but doesn't want to fool around with compiling the source without assistance;

Installation on Mac OS X 10.3.2 with Fink readline and headers
Hello! I'd like to install R on my machine in order to work with Joe Conway's pl/R in PostgreSQL. I'm running Mac OS X 10.3.2 with readline installed via Fink. I downloaded the Rdevel.dmg, and installed first Rframework.pkg and then Rapp.pkg. (I did not install the J_libreadline.pkg, J_libxml2.pkg, or J_tcltk.pkg also included on the disk image.) Both Rframework and Rapp

osx/fink: cannot do "R INSTALL" (library mixup)
Hello friends. I've just switched from linux to osx, and I'm liking it, except now that I'm getting down to brass tacks, and needing to install some R packages, I'm at a roadblock. I'm hoping someone can help. My R is installed from a .dmg, and resides as follows: $ which R /usr/local/bin/R The problem is that I cannot build packages. For example, see the below (which

OSX El Capitan - Fink - NUT
Hi I use NUT on a Mac to monitor a UPS which is connected to a NAS. When the NAS reports a low battery on the UPS it broadcasts and the Mac shuts down. Or it did. I have just upgraded to OSX 10.11 El Capitan. I have successfully upgraded Fink to 0.39.1. I now wish to update the NUT package, so that I can continue using upsmon etc. However, although NUT is apparently stable for Fink under 10.11

I have searched around the samba documentation, including the smb.conf man page, and have found nothing regarding the cups printing system except change printcap to cups. Now, I have done that, but printing still does not work. I need some types of details and a sample smb.conf and/or any other relevant documentation. Thanks much, George D. Plymale

[LLVMdev] fink llvm-gcc42 test packaging
I've created fink packaging for a building the llvm and llvm-gcc-4.2 svn pulls under fink on Mac OS X. Hopefully the fink info script and patch should be clear enough for some comments on my build approach. The llvm-gcc and llvm-g++ compilers seem okay so far. The llvm-gfortran compiler seems to always spew a warning.. WARNING: 128-bit integers not supported! ...even when just compiling a

Rsync Daemon Problems on Mac OS 10.1.5
Dave- I've got the rsync daemon running as root, (setgroups() man page said that if setgroups wasn't called as root it would give an error message) and I've configured the ports correctly a la man page. I still get the error with setgroups. If it's a recently implemented security feature could I yank that section out of the code and recompile it again? I haven't had a chance to
