problem about TDM400P ringback detection
Hi to all I'm a new user of TDM400P card. The configuration is OK and I have no problem for incoming call. When I try to place a outgoing call towards a PSTN number the call is not always answered. In other words TDM400P seems to not understand that the call has been accepted from the remote party. In other cases (different extension) the call is accepted succesfully. In my opinion TDM400P DSP

Unexpected behaviour in reading genomic coordinate files of R-2.7.0
Great R people, I have noticed a strange behaviour in read.delim() and friends in the R 2.7.0 version. I will describe you the problem and also the solution I already found, just to be sure it is an expected behaviour and also to tell people, who may experience the same difficulty, a way to overcome it. And also to see if it is a proper behaviour or maybe a correction is needed. Here is the

gpg signature for packages
Hi all, I am new to this mailing list and I apologize if my question is naive but I couldn''t find help about it on the CRAN site. I have just manually set a "cran.repo" for yum but I don''t know how can I install the gpg key for the packages. Can you please tell me how to do it? By now I just used the --nogpgcheck and it worked fine. Thank you in advance, margherita

Changing the BLAS from openblas on a F32 box
Thanks (again) I?aki. There was a typo in my reply above. I should have said: I *can't* answer the question re USE_LOCKING=1. Those other suggestions are really helpful too; I really didn't understand what the difference was (I'm still not clear what the differences are between say openblas-openmp and openblas-openmp64), but I did get R to pass mgcv's thread safe test with both

Help in HMM commands
Respected Sir, I am working on Hidden Markov Models for count data. My data consist of number of new infectives in a ward per month. I have data for about 50 months. How can I fit a Hidden Markon Model to my data. I am using 'repeated' package('hidden' and 'chidden' arguments). I would like to know how can I estimate the initial values of the parameters(mu and

Changing the BLAS from openblas on a F32 box
Thanks I?aki, that is exactly what i was looking for, esp the last option which I have now configured as an alias for easy remembering. I can answer the question re USE_LOCKING=1. I think that using both those options is required to get thread-safety even if openblas was compiled for single thread use. I don't know to what extent Simon has engaged with upstream on this etc. All I know is

setting the random-effects covariance matrix in lme
Dear R-users, I have longitudinal data and would like to fit a model where both the variance-covariance matrix of the random effects and the residual variance are conditional on a (binary) grouping variable. I guess the model would have the following form (in hierarchical notation) Yi|bi,k ~ N(XiB+Zibi, sigmak*Ident) bi|k ~ N(0, Dk) K~Bernoulli(p) I can obtain different sigmas (sigma0 and

Multi-homed Samba 4 file server on Samba 4 AD domain - cross network authentication
Hi all, I have a question about a multi-homed Samba file server and interoperability with AD. It's a bit complicated, so please bear with me. I've been running Samba 4.11.6 as an AD server (two DCs) for a while (in RFC2307 mode) in a mixed Windows/Linux environment. I have a server running Proxmox (Debian) with Samba 4.9.5 and it is sharing my huge ZFS volume via Samba to Windows

Changing the BLAS from openblas on a F32 box
Dear list, What is the recommended incantation on Fedora 32 to swap out the openblas BLAS that the packaged (rpm) version of R-core installs for ATLAS? I'm running into some problems with some big models I want to fit using the mgcv package, and openblas is apparently not thread safe and is causing problems. I have the following installed: $ dnf list installed | grep ^R R-core.x86_64

New/Changed users can't login to samba PDC
Hello, I'm running Samba 3.0.9 on SuSE Enterprise Linux Server 9.0. Samba is acting as a PDC for Win2K/XP systems. I upgraded this system from samba 2.x running on Mandrake 10. I brought over the old smbpasswd file. Domain logons work just fine. Today I changed a users password with smbpasswd and now they can't logon to any domain member workstation. I also created a new

Your problem is probably because your DC knows your Samba ADS client by its 192.168.42.0/24 Ipaddress. Also, why only use 10G on part of your network, surely the network speed

Multi-homed Samba 4 file server on Samba 4 AD domain - cross network authentication
Hi Rowland, Thank you very much, you were spot on. I had changed the Windows 7 client to LM compatibility level, and now that I reverted it back to 5 (use NTLMv2) it works. It was this registry key that made it start working: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa] "LmCompatibilityLevel"=dword:00000005 I was ignoring the old LM options and the "NTLMv1" in

Prediction-class ROCR
Hi, I'm involved in a bioinformatics project at my university, and we're doing a comparison paper between some methods of classification of nc-RNA. I've been encharged of ploting the ROC curves' graphs. But I'm new on working with R and I'm having some difficulty with the prediction-class. I don't get where the values of ROCR.simple$predictions, for example, came from
