rsync craps out, transferring large amounts of data
Hello, all...
I've been trying for a week for transfer ~100 Gig of data using
either rsync:// over IPSEC or tunneled through SSH, but it keeps
failing... I have done as the documentation says and here are the
results:
I ran the following command:
rsync -avz -vvv --dry-run --rsync-path=/root/bin/rsync-debug.sh --

Rsync read_int questions
Hello,
I've been having all kinds of problems with rsync. I've
tried versions 2.5.4-6. They all seem to have the same
problems. Currently, I'm trying to use SystemImager, which
uses rsync to transfer files. I get this:
get_boel_binaries_tarball
rsync -av 10.1.2.14::boot/i386/SMC/boel_binaries.tar.gz

rsync hang, more details [LONG]
rsync 2.5.0 still has a bug where it hangs under some circumstances.
The hang is beyond my abilities to track down. I'll keep trying,
though, but here are details in case they're of use to anyone else:
- Code configured & built on Solaris 2.5.1.
- Same binary run on Solaris 2.5.1 (client) and 2.8 (server).
- Using rsh transport, but also fails with ssh
- Does not fail with

unexpected tag errors
Hi All.
I've had this problem with rsync, the solution to which has been
really evasive to me. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm running rsync 2.5.5 between 2 SCO boxes and get random "unexpected tag"
errors. Sometimes the unexpected tag is positive, other times negetive,
and a retry of rsync usually manages to work the second or third time round.
The disks are identical in

strange sar statistics: total CPU 90% in userspace, but CPU 0 and 1 only 1%
Hi Centos Users
The server (ProLiant DL380 G5, Centos 4.3) was not responsible anymore
(SSH), fans rotated at full power and the console was blank. After
restart it seems to be fine.
Now I am analyzing sar statistics (in system logs nothing special,
unusual). The hardware monitoring with HP tools didn't work.

Game Screen Rotated 90 Degrees
Hi I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm trying to play Battlefield 2 on wine-1.1.27. The game seemed to install fine, and it starts fine. The only problem is that the screen is rotated 90 degrees to the left. I've scoured the net but I can't seem to find any sort of configurable option for wine to rotate the screen. Has anyone had anything like this before? I don't seem to get

Apache2 crashes, MySQL uses upto 90% CPU
Hi everyone,
I am running CentOS 4.6 and use the centosplus repo. Apache version
2.0.59 and MySQL 5.0.54 and for the past few days Apache 2 has been
crashing randomly. The CPU usage has been maxing out (The machine has
2 x Xeon processors, with 4Gb RAM) and there are many httpd processes
that appear to be defunct.
I read around and found that logrotate may be crashing Apache if it
doesn't

Logitech cordless desktop ex 90
Anyone using ex 90?
I have it running, no problem. Only mouse was little tricky, namely in X.
But jut a little change in xorg.conf and everything works fine (CO 5.1 desktop
install with vanilla kernel).
Now would like to get keyboards extra buttons in use. Question is, anyone
configured it allready, or do I have to invent wheel? again :D
