Which R function for GLMM with binary response, nested random factors with temporal correlation?
Despite lots of investigation, I haven't found any R packages might be suitable for the following problem. I'd be very grateful for suggestions. I have three-way nested data, with a series of measures (obs) taken in quick succession (equal time spacing) from each subject on different days. The measures taken on the same day are temporally correlated, so I'd like to use an AR1

Atomic modesetting + DisplayPort MST
Hello Ben, You can find below my results; there is a slight over-representation of 1st gen Tesla cards, but… that’s what I have. :-D No regressions observed, apart from: * screen rotation on G80, MCP79 * resuming on G86 I’ll retest those cards with your linux-4.10 branch but without the atomic + DP serie. Log / Dump Rotation Feature Request
Hello, my name ist Robert. I just wanted to know if there are any Plans for implementing a Log Rotation (e.g. daily base) or dump rotation (e.g. session based). A feature like this is not only needed for easier organisation of Archives but for comply with the german GEMA laws. The so called GEMA, states that (the System Administrator) should keep a copy of alle Shows for at least a month due to

SIGUSR1 or SIGINT error
Howdy, We occassionally get the following error when running our nightly backups: rsync error: received SIGUSR1 or SIGINT (code 20) at rsync.c(229) This happens more on one or two machines than on any of the others. We've looked high and low to see if we're mistakenly sending these signals, but nothing is that we can find. Does anyone know what this might be from? Is it the server

Request for Help: Rotation of PCA Solution or Eigenvectors
Dear R Helper, I am writing because I seek to perform a varimax rotation on my Principal Components Analysis (PCA) solution. (I have been performing PCA's using the eigen command in R.) If you can tell me how to perform this rotation when I use the eigen command (or the princomp command) I would be thrilled. Thanks so much! Wendy Treynor Ann Arbor, MI USA

python setup.py ssl error
Hey guys, I'm trying to do a source install of s3cmd onto a centos 6.5 host. Because the version in the repo is a little old. So when I go to run the installer app with the command python2.7 setup.py install, I'm getting the following error: Installed /usr/local/lib/python2.7/site-packages/s3cmd-1.6.0-py2.7.egg Processing dependencies for s3cmd==1.6.0 Searching for six>=1.5 Reading

Live CD iso
Hi folks I'm just about to start using Centos again. I used it briefly a couple of years ago but found the switch to rpm a bit much after using deb for 5 years. Now there seem to be a lot of changes on the deb front so i'm going to try again with rpm. I noticed that there is now a live CD (as well as the DVD) instead of the six CDs that i used before (iirc). I would just be grateful

negatively skewed data; reflecting
Hi, This problem may be very easy, but I can't think of how to do it. I have constructed histograms of various variables in my dataset. Some of them are negatively skewed, and hence need data transformations applied. I know that you first need to reflect the negatively skewed data and then apply another transformation such as log, square root etc to bring it towards normailty. How is it

How to interpret an ANOVA result?
Hello all, here's a real-world example: I'm measuring a quantity (d) at five sites (site1 thru site5) on a silicon wafer. There is a clear site-dependence of the measured value. To find out if this is a measurement artifact I measured the wafer four times: twice in the normal position (posN), and twice rotated by 180 degrees (posR). My data looks like this (full, self-contained code at

Grouping binary data
Dear all, I'm analyzing a binary outcome using glm() with a binomial distribution and a logit link, and have now reached the point where I'd like to do some model checking. Since my data are in binary form I'd like to collapse over the cross-classification of the factors before the model checking. Are there any nice and simple ways doing this? If so, how? If not, I'd be

[PATCH v4 2/2] drm: Add DRM_MODE_ROTATE_ and DRM_MODE_REFLECT_ to UAPI
Add DRM_MODE_ROTATE_ and DRM_MODE_REFLECT_ defines to the UAPI as a convenience. Ideally the DRM_ROTATE_ and DRM_REFLECT_ property ids are looked up through the atomic API, but realizing that userspace is likely to take shortcuts and assume that the enum values are what is sent over the wire. As a result these defines are provided purely as a convenience to userspace applications.

nouveau on opensuse 11 request for help
Hi, all, I just installed opensuse 11, 64-bit from the kde live cd. I use icewm - gnome and kde desktops are too busy and windowish for my taste, but a lot of programs that I run depend on kde. My video card is a geforce 7600. I'm using the nvidia driver because I couldn't figure out any other way to have dual-monitor support. I am new to opensuse, having used debian lenny previously,

Halfway through writing an "IDE" with support for R; Proof of concept, and request for suggestions.
Honestly, I don't see the motivation for this. There are many similar projects that are mature, so my feedback would be: don't reinvent the wheel and contribute to those. [LLVMdev] Implement a Register Allocator in LLVM
I'm working on my project for completion undergraduate courses, consisting of an experimental analysis of registers allocation algorithms. For this task, I am using the set of tools from the LLVM project. However, I have read the documentation of the LLVM project and not yet found a way to put the pieces of the puzzle together. So far I know: - As passes work as engage them to LLVM and

Halfway through writing an "IDE" with support for R; Proof of concept, and request for suggestions.
I've written what I refer to as an "Integrated Console Environment". Similar to an IDE, but more console oriented, so suitable for running scripts and dynamic programming languages. Also, it's designed to be congruent with the file system. Obviously, I want to support R. However, the long term plan is to make the core system relatively language neutral, and to support R via a
