Different encodings on different ports
Hi all, I'm looking to migrate from Shoutcast to Icecast. Our current configuration is such that we have a low bitrate encoding on port 8000, and a high bitrate encoding on 889. I've been looking through the documentation but haven't found a good way to make this happen in Icecast. We're using Darkice to stream to the server, and that does the different enodings fine, but

Using square brackets in a ploted expression
Dear Users, I have the following text plotted inside a graphic: text(16200, 2.8*0.97, expression(NH[3]==0.33-1.1 %*% 10^-5 %*% day), adj=c(1,1)) I need to include square brackets in the expression around the ammonia to have it plotted like that: [NO3-]. I tried instinctively to use %[% to plot the brackets, but it did not work. Does anybody of you know what is the correct syntax to plot

not force-user'ing while printing?
Hi all,... ...currently I am trying to get the following setup up and working here: * capisuite (www.capisuite.de) works as an isdn/capi-based fax solution for the LAN. * cups is used as printer spooler, there is some "glue" package to access capisuite through cups, thus generating a "print-to-fax" solution. * since the clients in the LAN still are all Windows NT 4,

Problem streaming to shoutcast w/ liveice
Maybe this is the wrong place to post, but... When trying to start up liveice to a shoutcast server I'm getting the following error, and then it dies and screws up the terminal emulation for my session. Anyone seen this before? LiveIce Streaming Mpeg Audio Generator Input Mode: Direct

NT4 domain: users not found
Hi all; ... trying to get a samba setup running atop debian gnu/linux, I am stuck in a strange situation: I set up the samba box to be part of a Windows NT 4 domain, did a net join (which obviously worked, at least a computer account on the PDC was created) and configured the machine to see the domain user accounts (wbinfo -u and wbinfo -g are working, same as there are domain users listed while

No subject
"when used with -r (which is implied by -a), every subcomponent of every path is visited from top down, so include/exclude patterns get applied recursively to each subcomponent." "...base of the tree." I guess I didn't make the connection from these phrases that the base of the tree is not the beginning of a path

Question about --stats
Is there a way to get rsync to estimate the net change of disk space usage for a transfer? I can get the gross amount of files to be transferred using "--stats", and if I use "-v" I can see a list of files to be deleted. But then I'd have to mangle the filenames to the target path (prepend some text to each line) and do a "du -c | tail -1" to get the disk usage

Idle connections timing out
Hello, I''m a Shorewall novice. I have a problem and I''m not quite sure how to troubleshoot it. I''m using a Mandrake 9.0 (Security Level "4") system, which came with Shorewall. (I live in Lynnwood, not far from Shoreline, btw.) Long lived but idle connections are dying. Examples are SSH terminals where I don''t type anything, and IMAP connections

Problem streaming to shoutcast w/ liveice
When you're streaming to a Shoutcast server w/ liveice (or any icecast source tools), the port in liveice.cfg needs to be set to one port higher than the Shoutcast server base port. Shoutcast uses the base port for metadata & port+1 for the stream data. If you exit liveice with ctrl-c (rather than the command it specifies) it usually won't screw up your session settings. Hope this

no USB/HID UPS found?
Hello world; been using nut atop Debian GNU/Linux (sid) for about two years by now, my configuration broke as I upgraded the machine this morning (headin' for kernel 2.6 to have full support for the new GBE NIC included). I read through the UPGRADE.gz instructions provided with the Debian packages and tried to fix things according to the instructions pointed out there, but things still just

polr in MASS
