pop3_lock_session and NFS
Hello, I need an advice about POP3 and NFS with Dovecot 1.0 (as 1.1 is still tagged beta) . I currently have all messages and indexes under a NFS partition . I thus turned cache off using actimeo=0 . Of course, my current architecture does not allow me to keep the same user on the same dovecot server. Now, I have some NFS issues with high percentages of getattr() . If I understood well, the

Disk free space, quotas and GPFS
I am migrating the main file servers at work onto a new storage platform based on GPFS. I am using RHEL 5.6 with the samba3x packages (aka 3.5.4) recompiled to get the vfs_gpfs and tsmsm modules, with a couple of extra patches to vfs_gpfs module to bring it 3.5.8 level. It is running with ctdb against Windows AD 2008 R2 domain controllers with all the idmapping been held in the AD. In order to

Possible exclude bug in 2.5.5 in rsyncd.conf
Hello all, I've found some behavior in 2.5.5 that is contrary to the documentation in the man page. Specifically, I'm running an rsync server (i.e. from inetd with --daemon),and in the module definition I'm specifying the line "exclude nosyncdir". The documentation for rsyncd.conf indicates that this is exactly equivalent to using "--exclude nosyncdir" on the

rsync 2.5.5 and the exclude directive - additional behavior
And, I've found more. It turns out that even though the exclude directive is ignored for inbound data in rsyncd.conf, it is NOT ignored for the --delete option. I've seen this behavior occur when I've deleted a file from the sending side (client) that is inside a tree that's matched by the server-side (rsyncd) exclude directive. The deletion is ignored, as the documenation
