I am planning on rsyncing between 3 different computers that all have the same username, but different passwords. Is there a way to specify which user from which host belongs to which password? Or do I have to use different users between the 3 boxes? Thanks for the help, Mike

Are there issues between different versions of rsync? Specifically I have a 2.4.6 on solaris 8 pushing to a 2.3.0 on solaris 2.6 over ssh(F-Secure version). I realize Win2000 does not use the same system but thought there may be some way around it with cygwin. Is it possible to mimick /etc/passwd to preserve ownership etc? Is there a better solution?
