SSL_PARAMETERS_PERM_PATH
Hi, I am not on this list so please CC me. Using dovecot-1.2.x it seems we can not configure the location of ssl- parameters.dat.tmp, it is hard coded to be in PKG_STATEDIR: ./src/master/master-settings.c: #define SSL_PARAMETERS_PERM_PATH PKG_STATEDIR"/"SSL_PARAMETERS_FILENAME This can lead to problems when you're running multiple instances on one machine. Apart from that, it

Released Sieve v0.1.10 for Dovecot v1.2.2
Hello Dovecot users, In the last week two nasty bugs were found in the new Sieve implementation. Primarily, the include extension did not work when a compiled binary was loaded from disk. This is something that is still not tested by the test suite, giving this bug the opportunity to slip through. Also, the value matching implementation would sometimes cause a assertion failure. 1.8.1 Make problem on SunOS
I am trying to make R-1.8.1 on (SunOS shell1 5.8 Generic_108528-15 sun4u sparc SUNW,UltraAX-i2). I did ./configure make Configure output seems ok. The make proceeds until the following line appears, repeated indefinitely (until I break): ./config.status: ./confstat28489-19881/subs.frag: cannot overwrite existing file I suspect that this may involve write permissions (and maybe the umask set in

listen = ipv4, ipv6
Hi, We want dovecot to listen on a specific ip4 & ipv6 addresses like so: listen = 145.58.1.1, [2a02:458:1::1] But on startup it tells me: Fatal: service(managesieve-login) Can't resolve address [2a02:458:1::1]: Name or service not known Wether it is in the dns or not. If I however change the listen directive to: listen = f.qd.nl where f.qd.nl resolves to an ip4 and ipv6 address

Samba AD DC: share access denied
Hey Samba, For the last year I've been trying to set up a Samba Active Directory with a share which will hold the profiles of users so that Windows users can be implemented with the roaming profiles functionality. I started out with an Ubuntu Server 16.04 LTS on which I configured routing, forwarding and dhcp. After which I followed the Setting up Samba as an Active Directory Domain

define subgroups based on position in table
Dear list, I have a data frame with one column (group) and want to add a second column (sub) with a serial number that says to which subgroup a cell belongs. A subgroup contains the consecutive rows of the same group. The number of a subgroup is based on its position in the table. The first subgroup of A's and B's should have nr A1 and B1, the second nr A2 and B2, etc.. I hope the

duplicates with multiple To/CC and sieve redirect copy
Hi, In one installation we are using sieve "redirect :copy" to create copy of the incoming email (local boss gets copy of its employees mails). There is a problem when the incoming email has multiple To/CC entries with local users. Multiple copy/redirects are created (one for each employee) and there are multiple copies in "boss" account. Each of this emails has the same

Slow writing on mounted glusterfs volume via Samba
Hi guys, I have configured gluster fs in replication mode in two ubuntu servers. Windows users use samba sharing to access the mounted volume. Basically my setup is that client machines on each site connect to its local file server so it has the fattest connection. Two files servers are connected via VPN tunnel which has really high bandwidth Right now it is very slow to write files to the

Standalone Samba and group permission
Hi, I have been experimenting and googling without finding so much as a hint to what I am doing wrong. I have a Samba server (Ubuntu 10.04) set up for standalone usage. I have Posix ACL's enabled on my filesystem, and a directory with the following permissions: # file: beheer/ # owner: beheerder # group: users user::rwx user:clamav:r-x user:beheerder:rwx group::--- group:users:--- mask::rwx

Samba domain time sync woes (Debian Bookworm)
FWIW, I looked at the settings in our domain (all of which I did myself). I used to explicitly set up ntp time sources in our network for all windows workstations before, and I continued to provide these after conversion from nt4-style domain to samba AD-DC. The NTP records are provided by DHCP, and are configured in the GPO, both with regional differences (choosing the local NTP servers within

hostname cores
Greetings Listmembers, Any thoughts on why I would get segmentation faults every time I run hostname(8)? I get the same error when using 'su'. I suppose this is because the system is looking for the hostname or something related. Whenever I run the hostname or su commands I get a segmentation fault error and a core file (hostname.core) in the current dir. I've tried debugging,
