how can I get malformed UTF-8 characters to display properly?
Hello everyone,
I''m scraping a lot of sites for a project, and occasionally the
scraped content will have "malformed UTF-8" characters. When the
scraped content is processed (basically a database record is created),
these characters often don''t appear as they''re supposed to.
Normally, the following code works great:
str.unpack("U*").collect {|s| (s

Dovecot crashes with malformed Qpopper's mbox
I am testing migration from Qpopper 4.0.5 and have come across a problem.
Dovecot dies while processing UIDL command when accessing malformed
Qpopper's mbox which has duplicated "From " separator. Qpopper
occasionally makes such header while rewriting mbox.
In the attached file, unnecessary "From " at line 3.

Netbeans - Malformed version number string mswin32 (ArgumentError)
History... before it went to heck...
I have been working a project in Netbeans for a month. I did a gem
update outside of Netbeans while I was installing ImageMagick and
RMagick... I also had to remove one verson of ImageMagick to use the
one compatible with RMagick.
Everything was working well... then I went to migrate my DB back to
start fresh again and I got :

Using patch -p0 <meetme-diff-cbmysql_1.txtproduces 'malformed patch' message
That patch is very small, so if you need to you could manually apply the
patch. All it adds is callerId to the "meetme list confno" command.
It is based on 1.0.7, and I did apply it to a clean tree to verify it,
but I am also the first to admit that I am new to using diff/patch, so
I may have done it wrong.

Malformed/Missing.URL Error from CallManager
Hi,
I setup a SIP trunk between asterisk and Cisco
CallManager according the wiki page.
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+Cisco+CallManager+Integration
But I'm getting a 'Malformed/Missing URL' from the
CallManager. Does anyone know what went wrong here?
I'm running asterisk CVS HEAD and (192.168.1.5 five)
Cisco Callmanager 4.0(2a) (192.168.1.101)
below is the debug

Key table name malformed
Hoi Louis,
The thing is that the keytab is not generated! That is the issue at
hand. The join appears to have succeeded:

However no keytab is generated during join, despite having in the domain
member smb.conf:

Highlight method creates malformed characters.
Hello list,
I''ve just updated to 0.11.3 and I came upon this problem.
When using the highlight function in a rails application I sometimes
get the error "Malformed UTF-8 character."
It is just on certain documents and if I change the excerpt length
the error disappears so it feels that if the highlight method cuts
the text at the wrong character the function returns a

svg malformed on CentOS (epel R)
There is an issue with the default svg device on a centos workstation that I
am using. It does not result in an error, but it produces malformed svg
images. Exactly the same script works just fine on an ubuntu box. On Ubuntu
I am using R binary that comes with maverick, on centos I am using the
latest R binary from EPEL. Other than that both boxes are pretty clean, with

malformed plot symbols in lattice pdf
Hi,
I'm using panel.polygon inside a custom panel function to generate
filled polygons for an xyplot. Everything is as expected until I
specify a value < 1 for alpha to fill with a semi-transparent color
and output to pdf. The plot symbols appear malformed. Am I doing
something wrong here?
Thanks,
Mark

Malformed/Missing URL error from cisco call manager
I've seen this question floating around, but yet to see any answers.
PLEASE let me know if anyone has figured this out. I've got a SIP trunk
between Cisco Call Manager 4.x (10.200.204.10) and Asterisk 1.4
(10.200.204.40). I'm trying to send calls from CM to Asterisk. It
appears Asterisk is sending info back that CM doesn't like. I keep
getting a SIP/2.0 400 Bad Request -

R, AIX 64-bit builds - trying to understand root cause for message: "Error: Line starting 'Package: tools ...' is malformed!"
Michael,
thanks, I'll have a look once my PDP VMs are up again (later today). This may be a signedness issue although it's unclear why other platforms wouldn't be affected.
Cheers,
Simon
