[LLVMdev] Unexpected behaviour of the LLVM gold plugin with --allow-multiple-definition
Dear LLVM development team,
working with the LLVM gold plugin, I have encountered an unexpected
behaviour when the option --allow-multiple-definition (or -z muldefs) is
specified for the linker.
Let's suppose the following scenario with four simple source files:
----- main.c ------
#include "unit.h"
int main() {
only_in_unit1();
only_in_unit2();

Continuous pings going through a full DROP policy
For a same configuration in which the default policy is drop and only
one connection is accepted in rules, continuous pinging to devices
will stop squarely in 4.0.15 as soon as a very basic firewall is
enabled whereas in 4.4.26.1, pinging will still continue after the
firewall is enabled.
All tests are done with proper reboot of the unit3 where the firewall
is applied:

Problems when using lag() in plm package
Hi,
I've been trying out the plm package, which seems like a great boon to
those who want to analyze panel data in R. I haven't started to use the
estimation functions themselves - for now I am just interested in having
a robust way to deal with lags in unbalanced panel data, since it is
such a royal pain to deal with all the special cases.
However, In my tests, I found behavior that

trouble with make/VPATH
I've got a tough to track down problem that seems to be samba related.
I've got a directory structure like this:
topdir/
lib1/src
lib1/include
lib2/src
lib2/include
etc.
Each src directory has a makefile in it. VPATH is set to ../include.
I'm running cygwin bash and make. In some directories, make can't find
files in ../include. In other directories, make finds

Backing up laptops on network
Hi all,
We are currently looking at a solution for backing up files on laptops
to a server in a small office (10 users).
I was looking at rsync as a solution. Here is my suggested solution:
Install rsync on network server - this is Windows 2000 :-(
Share the root of C:\ on laptops
Schedule rsync to periodically mount to laptops share ove SMB (if they
can be found) and running an incremental

Don't forget to use torrents for your downloads!
For those who may forget, usin torrents to download and share the new
images will get you faster downloads (if enough folks participate) if
you have a "fat" pipe and alleviate the load on the CentOS servers.
I have a "chubby" pipe (~ 1.2MB/sec) and got the stuff really quickly
earlier today.
If your torrent has distributed hash table capability, I suggest that
you also use

domain online backup
Hi M-J.
SeBackupPrivilege only give access to read all files.
You also need to set: SeRestorePrivilege to allow restoring.
And it does not say anything about the ACLs needed in the AD-DB.
Increase the debug level and find out where its giving this messages.
On which object, if you know that, then you might find what is missing or if you found a bug ;-)

Benchmarking CVS HEAD vs. v1.0
Some new features in CVS HEAD are:
- v1.0 saves most of the data to dovecot.index.cache only when the
client is FETCHing the messages. With mboxes the message headers are
saved while parsing the mbox, which is almost the same thing.
With CVS HEAD the dovecot.index.cache file is updated already when the
new messages are being saved (with deliver or IMAP APPEND). This avoids
reading the message

libvirtd does not update VM .xml configurations on filesystem after virsh snapshot/blockcommit
Hi,
Recently We've upgraded some KVM hosts from Fedora 29 to Fedora 30 and
now experience broken VM configurations on filesystem after virsh blockcommit.
Commands "virsh dumpxml ..." and "virsh dumpxml --inactive ..." is showing diffrent configuration than the one on filesystem.
In case of restart libvirtd or system reboot, there are broken VM xml configurations on

Hello guys,
hope i am not making an offtopic
Currently we are looking for storage/backup solution in our company.
Basically we need to backup data incrementaly from windows server and centos
server + subversion repositories.
So far i believe amanda would be best for this situation and also has good
