rsync 3.0.2 with --fileflags on FreeBSD: cannot rsync hardlinked immutable files
Hi *, it seems rsync with --fileflags isn't able to work on (already) hardlinked and immutable ("schg") files on FreeBSD. The following scripts will create a simple example for this behaviour: -------------------------------------------------------------- #! /bin/sh # # set -x DIR="/var/tmp/rsync_$(date +%s)/" mkdir "${DIR}/" # Preparing dir_A mkdir

Hello list, I have a apache documentroot with ownership root.www-data and mode 755 Now I have a /var/www/index.html and chown'd that file to user "foo". Sincen "foo" has no write permission under /var/www, he cannot rsync from remote server to the local filesystem because rsync will try to make temp file and unlink the original file before writing over it. recursive scp fails on ReliantUNIX 5.43 (using OpenSSH 3.4p1)
Hi, I have tried to make a recursive scp from a ReliantUNIX machine to an other UNIX machine and got an infinite loop on the source machine. A "normal" scp works well. Also strange is, that the first two letters of the directory respectively file name are missing in the output below. The destination machine produces a directory structure with growing subdirectory names. Below you can

memory usage grows too fast
Hi All, I have a 1000x1000000 matrix. The calculation I would like to do is actually very simple: for each row, calculate the frequency of a given pattern. For example, a toy dataset is as follows. Col1 Col2 Col3 Col4 01 02 02 00 => Freq of ?02? is 0.5 02 02 02 01 => Freq of ?02? is 0.75 00 02 01 01 ? My code is quite simple as the following to find the pattern ?02?.

mounting an arbitrary directory?
Hi all, Is it possible to specify an arbitrary unix directory to be mounted from samba? For example, to mount /usr/local/bin ? Using a different smb server, I've seen the ability to do this by doing something like Connect to: \\smbserver\/usr/local/bin Connect as: user Password: **** In other words, I'd like to be able to specify the exact path I'd like to mount without having

Fw: [Nut-upsdev] POWERCOM-UPS-USB : UPS Shutdown
Good Day Roger AA. notice that during the test, you have little or no load, since despite being in state OB DISCHRG the battery.charge is still 100. It's best to perform such tests with a dummy load such as a table lamp and an old fashioned incandescent 100 watt bulb. ==> Yes. I got it and try to ascend load as below results dinow-All-Series:~# upsc pcmups Init SSL without

increasing significant digits in smooth.spline function
Hello All I have a very long vector of unique predictor values and 6 significant digits setting for the smooth.spline rounds them off. Is there any way of increasing the significant digits withour recompiling a lot if code (simple editing and tham sourcing of "smooth.spline.r" function does not work, probably due to presence of Fortan functional calls)? Thank you very much in advance

[LLVMdev] __float128 (f128) calling convention bug on x86_64
Hello, I'm new to this mailing list and fixing llvm bugs for Android. Can anyone point me to any previous discussion or work related to the following bug? https://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=23897 I am testing my patch to llvm to make f128 values stay in SSE registers instead of being split into two i64 values. I have tried to add a register class FR128 to hold f128 values for the x86_64

Errors in Variables
I hope somebody can help. A student of mine is doing a study on Measurement Error models (errors-in-variables, total least squares, etc.). I have an old reference to a "multi archive" that contains leiv3: Programs for best line fitting with errors in both coordinates. (The date is October 1989, by B.D. Ripley et al.) I have done a search for something similar in R withour success. Has

randomForest() segfaults under Solaris(SPARC) 2.7
Invocation of randomForest() using the iris example in the help file crashes R with a segmentation fault. This happens on all of our ultraSPARC machines running Solaris 2.7. We're using R-1.4.1, compiled using Sun cc and f77 and the flags: CC=cc CFLAGS="-xO5 -xlibmil -dalign" FC=f77 FFLAGS="-xO5 -xlibmil -dalign" "make check" runs withour errors, and R has been

[LLVMdev] Clang now included in Android NDK r8c
Hats off to the Android NDK team! http://developer.android.com/tools/sdk/ndk/index.html Important changes: * Added the Clang 3.1 compiler to the NDK. The GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) 4.6 is still the default, so you must explicitly enable the Clang compiler option as follows: * For ndk-build, export NDK_TOOLCHAIN_VERSION=clang3.1 or add this environment variable setting
