Largest file system being synced
I'm interested in large file system replication capability of rsync. Could some of you people who use it share how large their mirroring is? What would you say is the largest sized site being mirrored using rsync? Thanks! JP

Suspicious sizes by different C compilers
Hi all, On my Alpha box running Tru64 5.1, rsync-2.5.4 compiled by GNU gcc 3.0.1 anh GNU make 3.79.1 has this size: 4562848. The same version of rsync compiled by Compaq C compiler V6.3-028 and Compaq make has this size: 655424. It is about _7 times_ smaller! I did a quick test and they seem both working OK. usage appears to grow gradually, not exponentially. A rsync may take several hours to complete. (I have one running now that started over four hours ago. The filesystem contains 236 GB of data in 2.4 million files. It is currently taking up 1351MB of memory on the mirror server and 646M on the source server.) Tcl/Tk support is not available on this system.
I am trying to get R to run on a Red Hat 8 system, I am running R version 1.6.2 with Tcl/Tk version 8.3.5 installed. --delete doesn't work when transferring many files
This is a curious thing. I'm syncing two directories, containing some 250 subdirectories totalling around 11,000 files. This: rsync --password-file=/usr/local/etc/rsync/.passwd --delete -rtv --exclude-from=/usr/local/etc/rsync/excludes /usr/local/sourcedir username@destserver.com::modulename ...works fine if both directories are already nearly in sync. Hello, I found the problem and also the workaround. Clearly, since it was working with chan_sip it should not be dialplan problem, but sip stack problem. I have line=yes set up. After asterisk restart the old registration is not unregistered and new one is registered with different line value. Then incoming invites and qualify requests are sent to all the registrations and there the problem

how can I plot bar plots with all the bars (negative and positive) in the same direction????
Dear r-help mailing list, this seems stupid, but I actually don't find the solution: if I have a vector of numbers x of length n, ranging, say, from -3 to 4, if I do barplot (x) all the values below 0 go downwards, and all the positive values go upward. Hi, I want to generate a number of vectors and store them with different names, like this: x=1 while (x<100) { vector#x# = rnorm(100) x=x+1 } where each vector has, at its hand, instead of #x# a number which goes from 1 to 99.
