Samba Mapped Shares Question
Hi All, I have two HP-UX servers - one called Prod11 running HP11.11 with Samba 3.0.7 and the other called Zarwin running HP11.00 with Samba 2.0.6. My username is a16609. On Prod11 when connecting it comes back as "Prod11\a16609" and I can successfully get onto the share. However when connecting on Zarwin it comes back as "UK\a16609" and the connection fails unless I

panel ordering in nlme and augPred plots
Hi, I'm new at this, I'm very confused, and I think I'm missing something important here. In our pet example we have this: > fm <- lme(Orthodont) > plot(Orthodont) > plot(augPred(fm, level = 0:1)) which gives us a trellis plot with the females above the males, starting with "F03", "F04", "F11", "F06", etc. I thought the point of

a bug? (PR#968)
--T4sUOijqQbZv57TR Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline Dear R, I would like to report what I think is a bug in R. I am running R within emacs on a Digital AlphaStation. See the version information at the end of my R session for details. I also attach a copy of the file that is read in the `read.table' command. Here's my R session, with a few

rsync 2.5.5 compilation problems
Hi, I compiled rsync on an HPUX 11i box, and got lots of errors about redefining sendfile() and sendpath(). The compilation succeeded, but the binary failed. I then took a binary I had compiled on an HP11.00 box, and it worked fine. I tried this with both gcc & the HP ansic compilers. The same results. I am attaching a full transcript of the configure & compilation session. The ld

Multichannel Encoding
I'm a mathematician and programmer working on experimental surround sound techniques. Some of the ideas I'm working on require dozens of channels. These channels are often highly correlated and are very well suited to compression. I'm new to Vorbis. Does it attempt to address such issues? Redhat Linux and Samba crashing
Hi Folks, A while back I sent a asked a question about Running the Quakeworld server and samba together under Redhat Linux 4.2. I was experiencing complete system lock ups. Anyway, I think I have narrowed the problem down. It's nothing to do with the Quakeworld server though. I can reliably (!?) make my Redhat Linux system crash (totally seize up) by running this simple batch file below on

[Bug 2647] --exclude options work from commandline but not in script
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2647 ------- Additional Comments From vanes002@umn.edu 2005-04-25 18:50 ------- A possible explanation is if the single-quotes are being retained in the --exclude values instead of being removed by whatever shell you are using for scripting. So rsync tries to exclude '/proc/' instead of /proc/ In your case, the quotes aren't even

rsync ignoring some new files
I have found several instances where rsync refuses to copy a new file. I am using it to sync changes from a staging web server to production servers, and there are certain files that it just plain won't copy. The file is totally new. No such name has ever existed on the target server(, or on the source server until now). In this instance, I added 3 completely new files to the same

Howdy, I am pretty "green" with rsync so any help will be much appreciated. I want to mirror webserver A and webserver B. The two directories I want to mirror are /www/home and /www/default. I was wondering how I would set this up in rsycd.conf and how I would call it in a script? Thanks David

question about changejournal
Hi, I''ve got a newbie question--sorry if this is covered elsewhere, I parsed through the archives for awhile and didn''t see it. I''d like to listen for whenever a file is renamed (e.g. foo.txt -> foo.old) and then magically change it back. This sounds odd, but I''m working with a stubborn application and this will actually make things work nice. So, if I do:

Rebuild of kernel 2.6.9-67.0.20.EL failure
Hello list. I'm trying to rebuild the 2.6.9.67.0.20.EL kernel, but it fails even without modifications. How did I try it? Created a (non-root) build environment (not a mock ) Installed the kernel.scr.rpm and did a rpmbuild -ba --target=`uname -m` kernel-2.6.spec 2> prep-err.log | tee prep-out.log The build failed at the end: Processing files: kernel-xenU-devel-2.6.9-67.0.20.EL Checking
