Hi,
during a test with piuparts I noticed your package failed to install due to
incorrect dependencies in the init.d LSB header. Some debian notes are
available from at http://wiki.debian.org/LSBInitScripts

"Operation not permitted" error when using "xe vm-start"
Hey!
I am following the steps at
http://wiki.xenproject.org/wiki/XCP_Beginners_Guide for creating a VM.
I''ve setup my test VM with 1GiB min/max memory. I''ve assigned 2GiB of
memory to dom0 (http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/Xen_Best_Practices) . My box
has 12GB of physical memory and runs Ubuntu 13.04.
When I do "xe vm-start", I get the following:

XAPI source code
Hi All
I have downloaded the opensource xapi source code. I am not sure what the functins of the follow modules:

2 datamodel
3 xiu (I am puzzled by the name "xiu")
4 stats
5 rpc-light
6 rss
7 xb (I think the xapi needs not to talk to xenbus directly)
8 xsrpc (why it writes some "rpc" keys to path of "domain/<domid>" in the

Upload of fixes for xen-api
Dear release team,
I would like update the Wheezy package of xen-api with numerous small
fixes. These aren't RC bugs, but I believe they are all worth fixing. I
believe that the most important one to fix is #682202.
Here's the changelog:
* Fixes bashism in install-debian-pv.sh (Closes: #690612).
* Fixes bashism in interface-visualise (Closes: #690710).
* The /etc/init.d/xcp-squeezed

Plot problems: xlim
Hi,
Still fresh in R, tried to figure this out, now on my second day running with no luck (and a pile of hair on my desk) so
I have thrown in the towel and would like to ask for some help.
Here is what I am trying to do. I am trying to plot a distribution, I have 99 points, bound in the range
xlim.min: -0.0173
xlim.max: 0.02103
However, I have a value outside this range (0.2454959) which I

I guess the histogram is as you wrote. See

for a short explanation.

Multimedia Fusion 2 Hardware Accleration is bugged
Hey guys,
I'm using WINE to run MMF2.
When trying to run MMF2 non HWA, it works fine. Problem is beggining while I try to run HWA. It starts, program has loaded all extensions and started. Now I put new app and enter a frame. Now I can see, that if I click anywhere, or select any object, or create a new one, frame screen shakes strange for half second and returns to original. Sometimes it

Bug#677614: xcp-xapi: someone should create /etc/default/xen
Package: xcp-xapi
Version: 1.3.2-6
Severity: important
Looks like on Wheezy, /etc/default/xen is not created by xen-utils-common. Since xcp-xapi depends on its existence and further declaration of the toolstack in it, it should take extra care to ensure that it is present.
root at debian:~# aptitude install xcp-xapi
The following NEW packages will be installed:

breaks in hist()
Dear listers,
A quick question about breaks in hist().
The histogram is highly screwed to the right, say, the range of the vector is [0, 2], but 95% of the value is squeezed in the interval (0.01, 0.2). My question is : how to set the breaks then make the histogram look even?
Thanks in advance,

import csv file into R, strange problem
Hi, I used read.csv(file name, header=T, sep=",") to bring in a csv file I
saved in MS Excel. The strange thing is all the data ended up in one big
column. The number of rows match with the number of observations, but all
the variables got squeezed into one column. Also the first row where the
header is, the variables names have a dot between them, replacing the comma
that's in the

ggplot2 to create a "square" plot
Dear all,
I am using ggplot with geom_tile to print as an image a matrix I have. My matrix is a squared one of 512*512 cells.
The code that does that is written below

Problem with widescreen display
I have a dual boot CentOS 5.2 / FC4 machine, and recently I have bought a new
widescreen tft monitor. I used to use a plain 4:3 crt, and after plugging the
16:9 tft naturally X needed reconfiguring. This was easy in FC4, and seemed
as easy in CentOS, but with a wrong result.
Basically, what I did was to run system-config-display to reconfigure for the
new monitor and resolution. All goes

XAPI on debian installation issue
Hi,
I''m currently trying to install xapi on debian (unstable), following the
following wiki page:
http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/XAPI_on_debian
1. Install squeeze 32-bits (it''s not specified on the wiki, but I guess
it wont work with 64-bit as the xapi *.deb files are for 32).
note: you must leave an unused 1mb partition somewhere when

filled.contour
Hi,
I want to draw a level plot. The levels are not evenly spaced, so I did
something like: levels=c(0,2,5,10,30,60). I still want the color bar (key) on
the right side to be evenly spaced so that the small numbers (0,2,5) are not
squeezed together.
Does anyone know how to do it?
Thanks!

spacing of color key in filled.contour
Hi all
I'm plotting colored contour maps using filled.contour. My levels
are very unevenly spaced, with, say, high resolution in the small
numbers but ranges that can be an order of magnitude or two larger in
absolute value compared to where the action takes place. Aside from
transforming the data, is there a way to control the color spacing in
the key to the right of the map? Right now I
