Nomogram with stratified cph in rms package, how to get failure probability
Hello, I am using Dr. Harrell's rms package to make a nomogram. I was able to make a beautiful one. However, I want to change 5-year survival probability to 5-year failure probability. I couldn?t get hazard rate from Hazard(f1) because I used cph for the model. Here is my code: library(rms) f1 <- cph(Surv(retime, dfs) ~ age+her2+t_stage+n_stage+er+grade+cytcyt+Cyt_PCDK2 , data=data11,

a question for beginner
Hello, i have this dataset http://www.umass.edu/statdata/statdata/data/pharynx.txt. the variables GRADE, T_STAGE anda N_STAGE are qualitative or quantitative variables??? i only have this simple doubt...! another example: why in the dataset ovarian (library survival) the variable ecog.ps: ECOG performance status (1 is better, see reference) it is consider quantitative? repeat takes along time
Hi I want help for "repeat" because it takes a long time repeat{ for (i in 1:n){ probb[i]=sum(Wc[z[,j]>=yb[i]]) } deltab[,b]=rbinom(n,1,probb) if(length(which(is.na(deltab[,b])==T))==0){break} } This code works but takes much computation time. Anyone could help me to find a solution to take a shor time. Thanks Jorge -- View this message in context:

strang locking behaviour with macosx clients
I'm running a samba pdc on my gentoo box in a mixed environment with a couple of Windows XP clients and only a few MacOSX clients. The users told me, the file locking across the platforms does not work properly sometimes. I tried to google my problem, but without luck. I switched all the flags related the lock mechanism of samba on and off, but the problem seems to be solved yet. The only

packet retiming
Hi: Is there a way to retime a flow in order to compensate for jitter? For example, RTP has timestamps which would enable retiming. Or you could be simpler and just make the exit interval equal to the average intrance interval. I''m sure there are even better ways that I just haven''t thought of. -- Lawrence MacIntyre 865.574.8696 lpz@ornl.gov Oak

recursive methods for concatenating sets of files
Hello, I would like to read sets of files within a folder, perhaps using recursive methods. Right now, I rename the files before import. It would be even better to do this without renaming files, without providing explicit filenames, perhaps by importing files based on chronology, and translating each filename into a header? Please excuse my ignorance, and help cure my clunky programming

There are no currently logon servers available when mapping with "net use"
Hi people, I have a problem and I need so much of your help. I have a login script in \\server1\netlogon\script.bat (on my PDC and BDC) that runs "net use" commands to map some shares in time of the logon. This login tries to map share in another server (samba member of domain \\server2). So, I put the result at a log and appears these lines: " System error 1311 has occurred.

Posix warning : Access to ... is crossing device
I have a distributed/replicated setup with Glusterfs 3.0.2, that I'm testing on 4 servers, each with access to /mnt/gluster (which consists of all directories /mnt/data01 - data24) on each server. I'm using configs I built from volgen, but every time I access a file (via an 'ls -l') for the first time, I get all of these messages in my logs on each server: [2010-05-04 10:50:30] W

ogg dirac granulepos in oggz tools
Hi, I'm wondering if the Dirac granulepos parsing in liboggz and display in the oggz tools is currently correct, as I'd like to do a release of these soon. A couple of days ago David Schleef mentioned there were some problems. David, is that currently true (ie. since David Flynn's recent updates to support Dirac), and if so could you please explain what the problems are, or point me
