Hello,
Got a question, will CentOS6.1 continue to be supported with updates,

CR repo - version issue
Hi
We use mrepo to keep a local repository. I downloaded the CentOS6.1 iso
and used that as the base. We also have the CR repo added.
I was expecting this change to cause no issues but the following
packages have version issues between the base 6.1 and the CR repo:-
base version CR version

Transition to CentOS - RAID HELP!
Hi Folks,
I've inherited an old RH7 system that I'd like to upgrade to
CentOS6.1 by means of wiping it clean and doing a fresh install.
However, the system has a software raid setup that I wish to keep
untouched as it has data on that I must keep. Or at the very least, TRY
to keep. If all else fails, then so be it and I'll just recreate the
thing. I do plan on backing up

Windows 8 polices are not applied
Hello all,
I am having some problems with the group policies in a small (~10 pc's)
AD. I have set up Samba and i used a NAS for saving home folders and
policies. I then had to replace the NAS and i used a new ip for the new
NAS. For the last step i changed the ip of the redirected folders in the
policy in order to point all pc's to the new NAS. It seems the policies
are not applied

Incorrect link in /Contribute wiki page
Hi folks,
In the page https://wiki.centos.org/Contribute#Contribute_to_the_Wiki
there's a "Create a login" link that leads me to
https://wiki.centos.org/UserPreferences
which doesn't help me creating a login at all.
Should it be replaced by https://wiki.centos.org/FrontPage?action=login or
https://wiki.centos.org/FrontPage?action=newaccount ?

Cleaning up virt SIG related wiki pages
Hi all,
I took a little bit of stock in light of preparing the re-launch of the
Virtualization SIG as per the board decision recently and noticed that
there are quite a few old and out-of-date wiki pages lying around
In particular the following pages seem very old (Iast edited in 2007)

Dovecot Wiki
I finally got around to cleaning up the MoinMoin pages out of it and
added a link to it from main page. I also got dovecot.fi domain, so
Dovecot pages can be accessed from http://www.dovecot.fi/ and Wiki is
at http://wiki.dovecot.fi/

Incorrect link in /Contribute wiki page
Thanks Yagi-san!
So I was originally wondering how to fix some issues (e.g. typo) in the
wiki, and I ended up finding this mailing list.
Should I report the issue in the mailing list, and wait for someone with
proper privileges to fix it?
Or am I allowed to edit it by myself?

Changes at Red Hat confouding CentOS (was: What happened to 6.1)
These seems to me to be the first message in the series and provides a
really good summary of the changes at Red Hat which seem to be making
life a lot more difficult for CentOS.
Just figured I'd pull it out of that thread and change the subject line.
Below Johnny's email I've copied another from the original thread,
written by Lamar Owen, which gives some good explanation on how Red

Opening of the wiki Part III(?) ...
... which will hopefully be the last part.
Sorry that it took that long, but I didn't have too much time on my
hands over the last two months or so.
This is what should be the last stages of opening up the wiki:
a) I have changed the account creation page:
<http://wiki-m.centos.org/UserPreferences>. Please view that page
while logged out of wiki-m.
b) While doing so I have

Applying function to multiple data
Dear R helpers,
I know R language at a preliminary level. This is my first post to this R
forum. I have recently learned the use of function and have been successful
in writing few on my own. However I am not able to figure out how to apply
the function to multiple sets of data.

Errors when trying to open odfWeave documents
Hello
I tried the odfWeave package today, by running the formatting.odt and
example.odt files that are included with the package.
They both ran fine, but when I try to open them in my OpenOffice
(OpenOffice 3.1.1 on Kubuntu 9.10) I get an error "Format error
discovered in the file in sub-document content.xml at 1293,124(row,col)."
I also tried to open them in MS Word 2003 (Windows

reading .odf spreadsheet into R
I have searched the archives and I did not find the answer to my
question. Is there a way to read in a .odf spreadsheet without
modification to a .csv file. I am analyzing my classes scores on
their first exam, and would like to read the grade book in without
converting it to .csv.
thanks

odfWeave: Combining multiple output statements in a function
What is the correct way to combine multiple calls to odfCat,
odfItemize, odfTable etc. inside a function?
As an example lets say I have a function that needs to write two
paragraphs of text and a list to the resulting odf-document (the real
function has much more complex logic, but I don't think thats
relevant). My first guess would be:
exampleOutput <- function() {
