Libvert live migration problem!
Hi all,
I've succeed to do live migration between two PCs. However, I found I
could not connect the VM by host IP from a remote PC before migration and
can only connect it from host PC. If I appended the VM with the following
line at the end of the xml file:
<listen type='address' address=host_IP port='PORT'>
I can connect the VM via VNCVIEWER with host_IP:PORT.

I'm running libvert on a Debian 7 system. I have upgraded libvert and qemu

main features of Rails 2.0 ?
Now that Rails1.2 will be released in a week or two, I can''t help but
wonder what''s in store in Rails2.0.
To me the Rails1.2 is all about REST. Of course they have added some
nify features all around (nil?, passing a has to find and much more).
But the main thrust was REST.
What''s the main thrust in Rails 2.0?

free memory on hypervisor
i am trying to get the free memory on a hypervisor using libvert, with the python api bindings
as per?http://libvirt.org/python.html, it should be pretty easy, however the below is failing:
#conn is a connection object
freemem=libvirt.virNode.getFreeMemory(conn)
although this works fine:
software=libvirt.virConnect.getType(conn)
if software == ?'QEMU':

Cisco 3950 ip phone
Hi,
https://community.cisco.com/t5/ip-telephony-and-phones/cp-3905-asterisk/td-p/1995981
The phone does work, you do need to TFTP the configuration files to the
phone though. Doesn't look like custom firmware is required.

Subsystem sftp invoked even though forced command created
This is a new branch of an old thread, made necessary because the email system here purges sent messages after a period of time so I can't reply to the last message in the thread. The operative portion of that last message (retrieved from the archives and dated July 3, 2023) follows:

So I set up a fresh key to use for this test, and gave it similar parameters.

Kashyap: I have not tried integrating your guest xml but I will look over
it today when I get a chance. Thank you.
Martin: Below is the output from /proc/cpuinfo. Let me know if there is
anything else that would be helpful in debugging this. Thank you,

Connect libvirt to iSCSI target
Hi!
I'm new to libvirt and face problems connecting to an iSCSI target.
What I intend to do is to connect libvirt (I tried virt-manager and
virsh) to an iSCSI target and then boot from the LUNs which contain
the VMs.
I followed the documentation¹ but got stuck at section 12.1.5.4.3.
