TUNGETIFF ioctl() failed - virtual machine can't start
Hi,
I want to migrate from vmware to KVM. Therefore I have installed debian
stable (lenny) and create two virtual machines (KVM).
Both (XP as well as Vista) running fine.
After upgrading to debian testing (sqeeze) both XP-guest as well as
Vista-guest didn't start anymore.
Both are failing during preparation, probably because of a network-problem.
I will give XP as an example:

Release of libvirt-0.9.2
As planned the new release is available at:
ftp://libvirt.org/libvirt/
It is a rather large release with near 400 commits included. From
an user point of view the main improvement is likely to be when
using migration as various work has been done to extend the protocol
and to avoid having the migration command stop other concurrent
operations (like virsh list). See below for a number of

DirectX 8 Library error.
I have written a directdraw program in dx7 that i can get working under
wine.
I have now written a simple directx8 3d program that works under windows
but i am getting these wierd errors under wine.
this is the output from wine -debugmsg +module pro666 I think it is a
problem with the two libraries d3d8.lib and d3dx8.lib as I can see errors
there. Also I notice that these are the two libraries

help with zoo
Hi,
I am interested in decomposing a time series and getting the trend, seasonal and?irregular variations, as one can get with the "stl" command. My time series is fairly regular, but it has some breaks. From the zoo manual, I gather that it should be possible to convert it to a regular time series and then fill the NA entries by interpolation. I am not able to proceed beyond a certain

ANOVA and TukeyHSD disagrees?
Dear list,
Sorry for posting a borderline statistical question on the list, but hte
SPSS people around me just stares at me blankly when refering to tests with
any term other than ANOVA and post-hoc. I would appreciate any insight on
how this all is possible:
I have a model fitted by aov() stored in "ppdur", which gives this result
when using ANOVA:
> anova(ppdur)

ntpd under Xen Dom0 exhibits extremely high jitter/noise? runs stable/quiet under non-xen kernel.
On a selection of boxes, ntpd running in Xen Dom0 reproducibly
exhibits extermely high noise/jitter.
Switching back to -default, non-xen kernel ntpd runs with very low jitter/noise.
Question -- how can I ''tame'' ntpd noise & jitter when running in Dom0?
Is the problem a config issue, or a bug?
Already reported this downstream; everybody''s "stumped".

Bug#721946: xen-hypervisor-4.1-amd64: dom0_mem cannot exceed some value
Package: xen-hypervisor-4.1-amd64
Version: 4.1.4-3+deb7u1
Severity: normal
I tried GRUB_CMDLINE_XEN="dom0_mem=8192M": that delivers 6964868K total, then
crashes when used=2837436K free=4127432K.
By crash I mean the gnome screen was blown away, replaced by a black screen
with white log lines. That seems to happen every time dom0 uses a large amount
of memory.
After setting
