Proposal for an alternative bugtracking workflow
The script queries **all** issues with specified labels and "notifies" on each of those. While this approach works, I doubt it would scale well if everyone is doing this by hand. OTOH, building a service that does this for everyone might be feasible, albeit non-trivial and it's not clear who should own this. So overall having this supported by GitHub would mean a much better UX...

Proposal for an alternative bugtracking workflow
Well, it's not really critical for us _now_, because we have not switched to github issues. And I can't really see any possibility of that happening in the short-term, either. Even once we do decide we want to move that way -- which we haven't yet even done -- it'll be a long road to making it happen, and I suspect there's many more critical missing features that we'll

Proposal for an alternative bugtracking workflow
Hi LLVM community, As discussed earlier, we in the clangd land feel that buganizer does not address the clangd's needs as a bug-tracking system. In our previous attempt to raise this on llvm-dev [1] we shared our idea to put the clangd issue tracker on GitHub. The participants raised multiple concerns, including the migration costs, whether GitHub is the right choice as an issue tracker,

Mouse problems running windows xp as a virtual console in opensolaris B81
Hi all, The mouse is not really useful in the virtual machine. The actual mouse is like miles away and in order to click on the buttons it is very frustrating to push the buttons. Does anybody have a solution for this. thanks in advance Filip This message posted from opensolaris.org

Re: VM Performance using KVM Vs. VMware ESXi
Thanks Dominique & Daniel. Looks like i need to upgrade my VMs kernel to make it aware of virtio. Found this information from this link: http://wiki.libvirt.org/page/Virtio#Disk_.28block.29_device_driver I tried without upgrading the Kernel and as soon as i start my VM it got into Kernel Panic. I will try using virtio after upgrading my VMs kernel. Thanks for all the responses and

SXCE 121 Kernel Panic while installing NetBSD 5.0.1 PVM DomU
Hi all! I am running SXCE 121 on a dual quad-core X2200M2 (64 bit of course). During an installation of a NetBSD 5.0.1 PVM domU, the entire machine crashed with a kernel panic. Here''s what I managed to salvage from the LOM console of the machine: Sep 2 18:55:19 glaurung genunix: /xpvd/xdb@41,51712 (xdb5) offline Sep 2 18:55:19 glaurung genunix: /xpvd/xdb@41,51728 (xdb6) offline

Hard limit for the cpu usage of a VM
Hi , I was previously using xen and currently moved to KVM. I am using libvirt to manage these VMs. In den's credit scheduler , I had the ability to set a cap on the cpu usage for a VM. But I was not able to find a similar substitute in KVM. I find that we can use cgroups to provide shares for VM but that will be more like weight based and it doesn't set a hard cap for that VM. I tried

Libvirt newbie, need help with doubts
Hi, These are my doubts: 1. I tried live migration of Ubuntu 11.04 from the one physical machine to another using the migrate() function. I connected via tcp in the destination URI and migrated successfully(lesser than 2 seconds). I tried running virsh list --all on the destination PM and confirmed that the VM had been migrated successfully. When I tried checking ps aux | grep vmname where

virsh edit problems
I've got a problem where I can't access my console (well, I can', but I can't type in a password), which I don't think is a libvirt issue but any help or commentary is certainly welcome http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.emulators.kvm.devel/79561 , and I'm trying to debug it by trying out different console/serial options in my .xml file, and I can't change them. What I
