答复: 答复: libvirtd can't start
Hi Martin:
Actually, I have installed all the debuginfo for this coredump file. But the netcf debuginfo report "mismatch" as below:
warning: the debug information found in "/usr/lib/debug/usr/lib64/libnetcf.so.1.4.0.debug" does not match "/lib64/libnetcf.so.1" (CRC mismatch).
So I ignore this warning before. You can check what I did on the attachment

virsh iface-list () - function is not supported
Hi,
I am using KVM hypervisor on Ubuntu 12.04 (libvirt-0.9.8). The call to list
the interfaces seem to be failing on this version of libvirt as seen below.
virsh # iface-list
error: Failed to list active interfaces
error: this function is not supported by the connection driver:

I have seen this issue with libvirt 0.9.2 as well, which seemed to be
working in 0.9.4

diificulty installing or building libvert
I am unable to install or build libvert for RHEL4-64. Due to the errors below. Is it because all the source/rpms are for Fedora? I don't see any redhat versions on the sources page. Thanks in advance for any help.
When running make against the untarred /libvirt-0.9.4.tar.gz configure succeeds but make fails.

How to install binutils-devel on Centos Linux 5.5
Good morning, I am trying to install binutils-devel on Centos Linux 5.5 so that we can obtain lib liberty required by the oprofile-0.9.6 Linux profiler.
Using root , I enter: yum local install binutils-devel-2.20.51.0.7-6.fc14.i686.rpm. Then I get the message: Public key for binutils-devel-2.20.51.0.7-6.fc14.i686.rpm is not installed. Please tell me where I get the Public key for

authconfig-gtk-6.1.9-1.fc14.i686.rpm missing durring URL Install ?
Hello,
This is a rather strange problem. I am using the i386 netinstall CD to boot
and do a URL (HTTP) install since my machine only has CD drive and can't boot
from USB either.
During the install, the installer was looking for package authconfig-
gtk-6.1.9-1.fc14.i686.rpm and claims that it's missing. I checked the RPMs
under packages, and for sure it wasn't there. But look at the

Centos 6 installation memory requirements
Will (does) Centos 6 require 512Mb of memory for the GUI install like
FC14 or the lower requirement of FC13?
My ASUS EE 700 has ~490Mb of memory (vidoe steals some from the 512Mb
base) and FC14 switches to text install and does not install any GUI,
leaving the boot in test mode.
I recall a message earlier that 6 is based off of 14, but not the final
Anaconda, thus my question.
It would be

nfs4 idmapd.conf user mapping
On my CentOS 6.3 machine, in /etc/idmapd.conf I've updated the
"[Mapping]" section of the config file:
Nobody-User = paulbsch
Nobody-Group = paulbsch
But the mapping is not working. Files still show up as being owned by
"nobody".
On my Fedora 14 machine, with the exact same changes to
/etc/idmapd.conf, the mapping works perfectly and the files show up as

Speaking of DNSmasq ....
.... I am getting a bit tired of those pesky DNSmasq entries in my
syslog file, they fill it up about weekly, wash other stuff out of view
on a tail. Is there any way to suppress them. or else increase their
lease time so that they happen less frequently ? Having a finite lease
time for a VM seems nonsensical, it can't go anywhere or disconnect
(obviously) .... I tried restarting DNSmasq,

Disappearing directory
Hi All and happy new year,
Via a cron job a USB disk is mounted on a Centos 6.4 machine for backup
and dismounted after. I've noticed this failing. See below, the backup
directory that was in /mnt had disappeared, so creating it again as
follows...
# cd /mnt
# mkdir backup
# mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/backup/
# ls

Problems setting up bridge
Hi,
I have a fc14 box with two interfaces that I'm having some difficulty
setting up a bridge properly. I have a few kvm guests set up and
running, but I've switched from using NetworkManager to using standard
networking with a bridge. I've modified the ifcfg-eth0 and created
ifcfg-br0 as per the standard documentation, but I think I'm having
routing problems. This is what the
