Using R_MakeExternalPtr
Hi all,
I've been writing a package and I've run into a problem that I'm unsure how
to solve. I am looking to pass a C++ class object to R so that it may be
passed back to another C++ function later on to be used. I'm quite new to R
and this is my first time writing a package, so I hope you can bear with me.
The following is how I create the class and use

I'm facing some strange behavior, and I hope you can provide a

how to change existing domain xml?
Hi.
I'm trying to change network settings for a domain via libvirt (the driver is
xenapi) with no success.
According to its sources, 'virsh edit' uses virDomainGetXMLDesc(), allows to
edit the received xml and then use virDomainDefineXML(). In case of xenapi
driver it leads to a new vm creation (with the same name and edited settings).
Looking through the list of API functions I

Libvirt adds extra parameters in domain XML
Hello,
In my C++ code, I generate my own domain XML file and I
use virDomainCreateXML or virDomainDefineXML to launch my qemu VM. However,
when I get to check which commands are sent to the qemu commandline, I find
that libvirt has added so many extra parameters to the ones I have already
set. How can I prevent libvirt from adding any extra parameters to the ones
I originally defined in the

Discussion starter for package level Connection API
Thought I'd try and start a discussion. Feel free to jump in.
I guess R needs to strike the right balance between opening up the
internals to package writers and not allowing them to do bad things. My
first attempt at cracking this nut is to just memcpy() the Rconnection
and not allow access to the private stuff:
/* Alternative to allowing C code access to connection API. */

[PATCH] v2v: Allow libvirt >= 2.1.0 to be used for Xen and vCenter conversions.
Libvirt >= 2.1.0 now allows you to open files which have a "json:"
QEMU pseudo-URL as backingfile, whereas previously it would fail hard
in this case (RHBZ#1134878).
When virt-v2v performs conversions from Xen (over SSH) or vCenter
(over HTTPS) it uses these pseudo-URLs as backingfiles. We had to
tell people to use LIBGUESTFS_BACKEND=direct to avoid libvirt in this
situation.

SEV, SEV-ES, SEV-SNP
When SEV is enabled in domcapabilities does that just mean any of SEV,
SEV-ES, SEV-SNP is possible on the hardware?
Similarly, does enabling SEV as a launchSecurity option in a domainXML mean
that whichever SEV is available will be enabled? And if the guest policy
has the ES flag set, it will not be created unless ES is enabled?
Sorry if these questions don't make sense or are ill-formed.

I currently use following approach but its failing
Find Max memory using following API
