I am trying to migrate a virtual machine between two xen 4.1.1 hosts using

virsh list not working with xen 4
Hi, I'm having some trouble to get libvirt to show the correct power state
of my virtual machines. I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 + Xen 4.1.1 + libvirt 0.8.8.
virsh list --all only shows turned off machines registered in xend. If I
turn them on, they just "disappear", and when I start machines directly from
xml, they just doesn't appear at all.
Libvirt is correctly connecting to

Problem creating VM: "tap: not a valid disk type"
Hi,
I am having problems creating VMs in virt-manager.
I have played with different xen hypervisor versions 3.0 & 3.4 (with rpm
-i --force) but have in principle gone back to the originals. - Though I
cannot absolutely exclude that something has gone wrong.
In principle I am using rhel 5.4 with the gitco xen 3.4 hypervisor.
Can anybody put me on the right track with the attached error

Detach devices using Libvirt+Xen
Hi!
We're struggling to get device detaching to work reliably using Xen. We can reliably use the same code to manage devices using Libvirt+KVM without any problems. We've tested this on Xen with both CD-ROM and USB devices without success. See below for detailed descriptions.
Thankful for any help!

Daniel Espling

cannot migrate vm back to original machine (currently with libvirt)
I posted the message below on the libvir-list with no replies, so
perhaps someone on this list has some experience with this issue.
Alternatively, if anyone has gotten remote migration to work with
Fedora and Xen, could you please send me the version numbers you are
using for each tool? I''ve tried Xen API with this setup previously,
but migration didn''t work at all.

Problem about RLock when starting VMs in parallel
Hi,
Here is a question about starting of subsequent VMs.
In the function of "start" from the class of XendDomain which is in the module of xen.xend.XendDomain, there's a pair of operations acquiring and releasing threading.RLock, which is like following:
def domain_start(self, domid, start_paused = True):
self.domains_lock.acquire()

If you''re talking about domU, then it''s normal. Whatever the block
device is on dom0 (/dev/etherd/*, /dev/mapper/*, etc.) domU sees only
/dev/xvda (or whatever you tell it to be).

Problems migrating xen domains
Hi.
I've set up a cluster with two Debian 6 nodes, running Xen 4 and libvirt 0.9 (from backports).
My VMs run over a DRBD resource, to allow live migration between the nodes.
I've successfully tried live migration using xm migrate, now I'd like to make it work using virsh, but cannot make it. Here's the error I'm getting:
# virsh migrate efw xen+ssh://10.22.22.152/
