Xend and libvirt
Hello
On a probably a few days old build of libvirt, it is not possible to connect to my local system.
The command used is:
$virsh -c xen:///system
The errors can be seen from libvirtd logs[1] an interesting part being:

libvirt crash when using libxl (xen 4.3)
Hi
I was trying out the libxl backend of xen 4.3 with libvirt, but I found it
very unstable and unusable.
I'm in xen 4.3 dom0 and starting:
1. xen stuff:
echo "Starting Xen..."
/etc/init.d/xencommons start
#/etc/init.d/xend start
. /etc/rc.d/rc.xen_bridge start
/etc/init.d/xendomains start
#libvirtd -l -d

virsh list not working with xen 4
Hi, I'm having some trouble to get libvirt to show the correct power state
of my virtual machines. I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 + Xen 4.1.1 + libvirt 0.8.8.
virsh list --all only shows turned off machines registered in xend. If I
turn them on, they just "disappear", and when I start machines directly from
xml, they just doesn't appear at all.
Libvirt is correctly connecting to

virsh not connecting to libvertd ?
Just found my issue.
After I removed the cephfs mounts it worked!
I will debug ceph.
I assumed because I could touch files on mounted cephfs it was working.
Now virsh list works!
thanks

Thanks a lot you two,
yes hugetlbfs is not mounted, when libvirtd is started… It was a long
night. Did put it to fstab and since I do not allocate them on regular
boots, it won’t eat my ram (that was the main consideration for doing it
like this).
As a last means before going to sleep, I added

virsh not detecting hugepage mount; disabled by config?
Hi,
I’m struggling with virsh not detecting my hugepage mount.
I have the following kernel command line:
BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-4.8.13-gentoo root=/dev/mapper/gensd-gentoo ro quiet
splash intel_iommu=on video=efifb:off,vesafb:off,simplefb:off
splash=verbose,theme:livedvd-aurora kvm.ignore_msrs=1
transparent_hugepage=never hugepages=3072 softlevel=qemuvm
My startup script outputs the following:

virsh create error : monitor socket did not (Alex Jia)
Hi Alex,
when I got this error, it was a vnc listener problem. Is there other
actives vms on this server?
try to change the port number to see if the problem was solved.
<graphics type='vnc' listen='0.0.0.0' port='5909'/>
Good Luck.
