Sporadic network issues
I'm seeing this problem with both the virtio and e1000 driver with both linux and windows guests. About 5 - 10% of the VMs I launch have network problems. They seem to always get an IP from the DHCP server (dnsmasq), but afterwards either they can not make an outside network connection or they lose connectivity at a later time. Sometimes the connectivity comes back, sometimes it doesn't.

Re: Pivot without copy
It seems that my version of libvirt does not support the flags that yours does either. I have the latest version from the Ubuntu repos and am running 14.04. What version are you running and do you know if these features depend on libvirt, or qemu-img to be upgraded? =============================================================================================

Migration hangs on Gentoo with KVM
Hi there, I'm trying to migrate a domain between two Gentoo hosts using KVM as hypervisor, but the migration hangs. I tried both live or offline migration modes without success. Details below. Anyone has an idea of what could be wrong with my setup? The migration is the only thing not working. Host A (initially running the VM) ================================= # uname -a Linux pion

QEMU version in Xen
Hello, I see that under tools/ioemu the VERSION file says 0.6.1. This is the version number of QEMU. I wonder: Version 0.8.0 of QEMU was out in December 2005. See: http://fabrice.bellard.free.fr/qemu. Is there a reason for using an old version of QEMU ? (which , if I am not wrong, was adjusted slightly to fit Xen needs) Is there a real obstacle which exists in 0.8.0 (and does not exists
