Virtio-win RPM?
I should have this in my head by now...
I tried migrating a physical Windows host last night using virt-p2v CD.
It ran for 3 hours and then died. I'll get details later from the log
but as I think about it, I'll bet it died because I never installed
virtio-win in my Fedora migration server.
The documentation says do "yum install virtio-win" - but this is RHEL

A few errors with virt-p2v-image-builder
I just now ran into some traceback messages and other errors running
virt-p2v-image-builder 0.8.5.1. Anything to worry about?

libvirt ruby binding with vmware
Hi,
I've been trying to use the ruby libvirt binding with vmware esx on F15,
however it doesnt seems to work, I get:
Libvirt::ConnectionError: Call to virConnectOpen failed: Cannot access CA
certificate '/etc/pki/CA/cacert.pem': No such file or directory
I've using the same uri with virsh and it works.
it seems like somehow the no_verify is not passed, or we are back to old

virt-v2v - Unable to authenticate to vCenter as DOMAIN\user
Hi,
I am encountering an issue with virt-v2v where I need to authenticate to the vCenter as DOMAIN\user.
I have tried the following with the resulting errors:
1. 'virt-v2v -v -x -ic 'vpx://vcenter/Datacenter/cluster_name/esx_server?no_verify=1' vm_name -o local -of raw -os /tmp'
- prompted for username password
- entered 'DOMAIN\User' as username
- successfully

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HOT DOGGIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think I fixed it. The problem - Squid worked at my test site - it did
not popup a login window, but instead used Ssamba's ntlm helper program
to get credentials from IE. But at my customer site it did (improperly)
popup a login window. The squid.conf files were almost identical - even
to the point where my working test site incorrectly

unable to connect with virt-v2v to VMWare
Hi,
I am trying to import and convert some VMWare guests from a VMWare cluster
with vCenter version 6, to a KVM (oVirt) host. The KVM node (RHEL 7.2) has
virt-v2v 1.28.1, though I've also tried using Fedora 23 which has 1.32.4.
The details are:
vCenter server: nssesxi-mgmt
Datacenter name: North Sutton Street
esxi server which runs the VM: nssesxi-mgmt04
folder name: Systems
VM name: wvm2

Trying to get started with virt-p2v
I need to p2v migrate a Windows server and I am soooo confused!
By now, I've done a few virt-v2v migrations, so I get how that works. I
attended Richard and Matthew's Red Hat Summit talk about virt-p2v and
just now downloaded the handouts.
If I understand what's going on, virt-p2v is pretty much the same as
virt-v2v, except that the physical system to migrate from needs to boot

Need help regarding perl sys::virt
Hi,
I wanted to use perl Sys::Virt (which uses libvirt) to remotely connect KVM hypervisor. As a start I tried following simple script(KVM.pl) but I am getting following error.
First it will ask for authentication which I am providing to it manually then it fails. Do I need to do some configuration on KVM hypervisor before executing this script? Any help is appreciated.

I want a Fedora 20 system to be a member server and offer a share in a Windows 2008R2 Active Directory domain
I'm close to making this work. The goal is to make this Fedora 20 system pretend to be a Windows member server in my Windows 2008R2 Active Directory domain and then I'll use it as a backup target. When I run ADUC from my domain controller, I see my F20 system named nfsa. But from Windows, when I do Start...\\nfsa, I get an Access Denied error and it prompts for credentials. When I do

Hi,
I am trying to convert from esx server to local directory a VM names CSB,
Its build from source 77b371b18b6a7ad37105a595931514f542a04396
