Generate coredumps of the guestfs appliance
[PATCH 1/3] Add a core_pattern debug command The first patch is just a rework of Rich's earlier core dump patch. It turns it into a debug subcommand so it can be called at any time. This also has the advantage of explicitly labelling an extremely untidy API as debug. [PATCH 2/3] Call sync after guestfsd exits The second patch seems to be required for cores to be dumped reliably. I was able to

Coredumps when --enable-sse is selected
System: Linux 2.4.25, glibc-2.3.2, gcc-3.2.3 (weird palindrome there), on a Williamette core Pentium 4 (1.6Ghz) system. I've tried both speex 1.1.5 release, and the current CVS (which self-IDs as 1.1.4), and the result is the same. I suspect some funk in the use of the SSE intrinsics macros. 1.0a1 Coredumps / errors when moving multiple
I've just tried upgrading 1.0t51 to 1.0a1 and it has been........ difficult. I've been getting logs of Sig11s and other errors, and have trouble tracking them down. Main problem seems to be with moving / copying messages. One at a time works (mostly), multiple will coredump the imap process (not yet managed to get a proper core out though...) I'm using imap & Maildir,

How to create a coredump for Asterisk
Hi everybody, sometimes we have an Asterisk-crash, but no clue why this is happening, so I'm trying to make a coredump to analyse it. I compiled Asterisk 1.4.20.1 on CentOS 5.4 i386 with "DEBUG_THREADS" and "DONT_OPTIMIZE", then I start it with: # /bin/bash /usr/sbin/safe_asterisk This should do an "ulimit -c unlimited", but I entered it in the terminal again.

systemd-coredump service
I am unable to locate systemd-coredump service on CentOS 7.5. It is not listed under "systemctl -a" and also I'm unable to locate the associated unit file (folder /usr/lib/systemd/system/ ). Am I missing any package which installs this service?

Coredumps when --enable-sse is selected
Hi, I've tried the same configure options on my system and it doesn't crash. I have the same glibc and gcc 3.3.2 (can you see if a newer gcc works?). Also, could you explore a bit with different options so we can narrow it down a bit. For example, does it work with the default CFLAGS or without --vbr or --dtx. Last thing, maybe it's the file. If so, please send me the smallest sample

Possible new configure option: --with-fatal-coredumps?
Hi all. What's the feeling about adding a new configure-time option to generate a core dump on when fatal() is called? It might help debug certain types of problems, but runs the risk of sensitive information being left in the core dump. Obviously, it should default to "no". Anyone like the idea? Anyone hate it? -- Darren Tucker (dtucker at zip.com.au) GPG key 8FF4FA69 /

[PATCH 1/1] fork, vhost: Use CLONE_THREAD to fix freezer/ps regression
When switching from kthreads to vhost_tasks two bugs were added: 1. The vhost worker tasks's now show up as processes so scripts doing ps or ps a would not incorrectly detect the vhost task as another process. 2. kthreads disabled freeze by setting PF_NOFREEZE, but vhost tasks's didn't disable or add support for them. To fix both bugs, this switches the vhost task to be thread in the

Fail kerberos method = secrets and keytab and net offlinejoin requestodj
Hello everyone, For the context, I'm trying to add support for offline join in WAPT WADS OS deployment [1]. Currently WADS supports offline join of Windows computers, and I want to add support for Linux computer using SSSD as a authentication client (for the persons who might dismiss this mail because of a certain keywords, yes it is related to sssd, but it triggers a Samba bug).
