FYI, lvs.ml: Unbound value Guestfs.create
FYI, while "make" succeeded in this directory on Friday, I ran "make clean" today from the top, then "make" and got this: Making all in examples make[3]: Entering directory `/home/j/w/co/libguestfs/ocaml/examples' ocamlfind ocamlopt \ -warn-error A -I .. mlguestfs.cmxa lvs.ml -o lvs File "lvs.ml", line 11, characters 10-24: Error:

[PATCH 1/2] tools: Link OCaml programs with -runtime-variant _pic if available.
OCaml has a small runtime which is statically linked into the virt tools (providing things like GC and primitives). Since OCaml 4.03 it has been possible to select variants of this runtime, one of which is compiled with -fPIC, using ‘ocamlopt -runtime-variant _pic’. This has performance implications on i686, but is relatively free on other architectures. Since it (in theory) adds to the

anyone care to point me in the right direction? LVS
i'm trying to setup LVS, and tried both the lvs-dr and the lvs-nat, but can't get any to work. I'm hoping people here can answer a few questions that might help and shed light onto the situation? #1 with regards to the Real Servers, is there anything that needs to be configured other that the http service? I ask this, because I suspect yes, and it has to do with what type of LVS you

[PATCH 1/1] Modify --param support to include additional option
Later versions of gcc include an option in the form of --param=name=value. This patch adds support for this and continues to support the --param name=value option. [LLVMdev] Linking with C Library
>> You need to figure out how to pass -rdynamic to the linker, like I said before. http://llvm.org/docs/tutorial/OCamlLangImpl7.html mentions it, but I don't know enough about the ocaml build process to say whether that'll work. I believe I'm already doing that, properly by passing -ccopt -rdynamic to ocamlopt: ocamlopt -cc g++ -ccopt -rdynamic -linkall $(LIBFILES) -o alpha

Re: enable build for ocaml bytecode
I believe this patch has now been superseded by Hilko's commit here: https://github.com/libguestfs/libguestfs/commit/f75142c577255b30f2a8e1d27baa5fd185594197 Rich. -- Richard Jones, Virtualization Group, Red Hat http://people.redhat.com/~rjones Read my programming blog: http://rwmj.wordpress.com Fedora now supports 80 OCaml packages (the OPEN alternative to F#)

[PATCH] Add tune2fs support to libguestfs.
At the moment OpenStack uses kpartx and nbd to resize filesystems and inject files to guests. I sincerely hope they don't allow untrusted users to upload guest images / AMIs :-( To fix this I'm looking into adding libguestfs support as an optional backend in OpenStack. The only missing feature in libguestfs is the ability to call tune2fs on a filesystem. This patch series adds tune2fs

masq rules for LVS
Hi, I need some special masq rules to allow internal servers to resolve public IP''s which are loadbalanced by LVS - the rule are: iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -m ipvs --vaddr <LVS PUBLIC IP>/32 --vport 80 -j SNAT --to-source <LVS INTERNAL IP> Also I need to enable: echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/vs/conntrack Currently I do all this from /etc/shorewall/started - but is

[PATCH] klcc compatibility with gcc
Here's a patch to klcc.in from klibc-0.202. The context: I have an application, managed with GNU automake/autoconf. Packagers should be able to build the application with klibc if available, with plain gcc otherwise, as follows: $ cd ~/klibc-0.202 $ ... make linux symlink $ make bindir=$HOME/local/bin \ mandir=$HOME/local/man \ INSTALLDIR=$HOME/local \ SHLIBDIR=$HOME/local/shlib \

Shorewall and LVS-NAT (via fwmark) nat'd machines can't access the outside world directly
Hi guys, I''m not sure where to post for help on this one, shorewall or lvs, I''ll start with shorewall (only cause Tom is a gun at this stuff, and is polite enough to tell me to bugger off to the LVS list if I''m posting in the wrong one ;) I have a single box that is my router/firewall/LVS. [PATCH] daemon: lvm: Only return public LVs from guestfs_lvs API (RHBZ#1278878).
When a disk image uses LVM thinp (thin provisioning), the guestfs_lvs API would return the thinp pools. This confused other APIs because thinp pools don't have corresponding /dev/VG/LV device nodes. Filter the LVs that are returned using "lv_role=public". Thanks: Fabian Deutsch --- daemon/lvm.c | 4 +++- 1 file changed, 3 insertions(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git a/daemon/lvm.c

Implementing LVS changes made in Piranha GUI
Every time I touch something, pieces fall off! It's a good thing this stuff isn't in production yet (for me I mean). So I had an LVS, configured with Piranha, directing http test transactions across two servers. I used Piranha to add another realserver. It appeared in the lvs.cf file, but didn't appear in the ipvsadm output. So I stopped and restarted Pulse. And now *none* of the
