GObject bindings
This is the first iteration of the GObject bindings. I have 'kicked the tyres' on these, meaning I have ensured that a bunch of basic manual tests work as expected. I'm in the process of adding more comprehensive tests. Here's an example simple javascript program which uses these bindings: === const Guestfs = imports.gi.Guestfs; print('Starting'); var g = new

Various fixes from building libguestfs for Debian
Here are some of the patches that I have maintained in the patch queue of my packages that I maintain within the Debian distribution (http://packages.qa.debian.org/libg/libguestfs.html). All of them address FTBFS (fail to build from source) errors that happened with the particular configuration that is used for building the Debian package. Cheers, -Hilko

Install RSPerl in Leopard
Hi, I am having problems installing RSPerl 0.92-1 in my Mac OSX 10.5.1. I?ve installed correctly R-2.6.1 with the .mpkg. I run the next command: <R CMD INSTALL --configure-args=' --with-in- perl ' RSPerl> And the next error message appears: RSPerl * Installing to library '/Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Resources/ library' * Installing *source* package

[PATCH 0/2] Actually translate our Perl programs (RHBZ#559963).
We observed a while back that the Perl-based libguestfs tools were not being localized. In fact I've tracked this problem down to a regression some time ago and some subsequent changes we made. These two patches fix everything. Rich. -- Richard Jones, Virtualization Group, Red Hat http://people.redhat.com/~rjones virt-top is 'top' for virtual machines. Tiny program with many

[PATCH] Add 'make installcheck' rule to test installed packages.
This is my proposed alternative to the complicated test framework (https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2015-August/msg00022.html). In this patch, when we want to run tests on installed packages we just copy in the installed binaries over the source directory, and run the test suite as normal. This is basically the same as the current (not used) contrib/make-check-on-installed.pl script,

cron job failures with a perl script containing Astro::Time
Everyone, I am building a gateway server with a new : CentOS Linux release 7.3.1611 (Core)??with 3.10.0-514.2.2.el7.x86_64 kernel. Everything was going find, but I was not able to get a particular cronjob to function properly that contained a perl script with Astro::Time as an include file. Astro::Time was installed with the use of the cpan module downloaded from the Centos repositories. The

sanbooting FreeBSD ISO under UEFI
Hi all, I currently use iPXE to load memdisk and, subsequently, a FreeBSD disk image to perform an OS installation to disk. This works great in BIOS, but upcoming requirements make UEFI a prerequisite. Because memdisk is not UEFI-aware, new UEFI-aware media is necessary. The current plan is to integrate the installation scripts (currently in the hard drive image) into a bootable FreeBSD ISO

Use virt-* tools from within container?
Hi, all. I've set up an LXC container for various Openstack admin chores, and now I'm being asked to have it used for importing qcow2 images -- on which we want to run utilities like virt-sparsify and virt-sysprep, first. Sadly, when I do that, it dies horribly, e.g., root@openstack-cli:/tmp# virt-sysprep -a cloud-image.qcow2 Examining the guest ... libguestfs: warning:
