[PATCH v11 02/10] daemon: Embed the ocaml-augeas library in the daemon.
This commit embeds the ocaml-augeas library (upstream here: http://git.annexia.org/?p=ocaml-augeas.git;a=summary). It's identical to the upstream version and should remain so. We can work towards using system ocaml-augeas, when it's more widely available. --- daemon/Makefile.am | 3 + daemon/augeas-c.c | 288 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

[PATCH v4 2/7] common: Bundle the libvirt-ocaml library for use by virt-v2v
Add a copy of the libvirt-ocaml library, currently available at: https://libvirt.org/git/?p=libvirt-ocaml.git;a=summary This is a snapshot at commit d3ed8dcf1b0a6a8a855ceecbe0bb97f21e6665e3, which has all the features we need (and that builds fine). It is expected to stay synchronized with upstream, until there is a new upstream release, and it will be widespread enough. --- .gitignore

PROTECT and OCaml GC.
Hello. In the writing of my OCaml-R binding, I'm sort of confused when it comes to the use of the PROTECT and UNPROTECT macros. Basically, I have C stub functions that are in charge of calling R for everything. Here's a simple example: > CAMLprim value r_findvar (value symbol) { > /* The findVar function is defined in envir.c. It looks up a symbol > in an environment.

[LLVMdev] a typo in OCaml bindings
Hi, revision 111418 binding/ocaml/llvm/llvm_ocaml.c /* llvalue -> int -> llvalue */ CAMLprim value llvm_params(LLVMValueRef Fn, value Index) { value Params = alloc(LLVMCountParams(Fn), 0); LLVMGetParams(Fn, (LLVMValueRef *) Op_val(Params)); return Params; } does not match the interface at binding/ocaml/llvm/llvm.ml external params : llvalue -> llvalue array =

R_NilValue and segfault.
Hello. I've been trying to wrap up the R_NilValue into OCaml-R. I nevertheless get a segfault. As I gathered, R_NilValue is declared in Rinternals.h: > /* Special Values */ > LibExtern SEXP R_NilValue; /* The nil object */ > LibExtern SEXP R_UnboundValue; /* Unbound marker */ > LibExtern SEXP R_MissingArg; /* Missing argument marker */ So, in my r_data.c

[PATCH 4/4] build: enable gcc warnings in capitests/ and ocaml/
Here are four small patches. First, I enabled all the warnings, then I fixed the newly exposed offenses, then I put the warning-enabling patch at the end, for the sake of future bisectors: [1/4] ocaml/guestfs_c.c avoid signed/unsigned-comparison warning [2/4] ocaml/guestfs_c.c: avoid warning about initialization discarding "const" [3/4] ocaml/guestfs_c.c: avoid warning about missing

fix new failures from latest-from-gnulib syntax-check
There's a new syntax check rule from gnulib. It requires that you write e.g., exit (EXIT_SUCCESS), not exit (0). And the same for 1/EXIT_FAILURE and any other constants. There were a lot of violations, including a few false positives, so I started with the exemptions (see the .x-sc file below). Then I converted the vast majority automatically, with this: maint: use EXIT_SUCCESS and

[LLVMdev] Tag number of OCaml Variant in executionengine
Hi, At the code below from ./bindings/ocaml/executionengine/executionengine_ocaml.c, we create an OCaml Variant from C. It is from 2.6, the latest 2.7 has the same code. Line 240 Option = alloc(1, 1) assigns tag1 to the 'some' constructor. In term of http://caml.inria.fr/pub/docs/manual-ocaml/manual032.html, I think the 'some' should have a tag 0. We dont have a runtime error for

[PATCH 1/2] Convert all TABs-as-indentation to spaces.
Per discussion on IRC, here are two changes to convert all TABs-as-indentation to spaces. The first one is the fully-automated conversion. However, note that the command mentioned uses a file (the .x-sc* one) that is added only in the following patch. The second patch adds rules to help keep things that way: Document and enforce the new spaces-only indentation policy. * cfg.mk

Segfault in GetNewPage, memory.c.
Hello. I'm still working on my OCaml-R binding and I get a segfault in the GetNewPage() function of memory.c. For the record, the OCaml-R binding seems to work fine with OCaml bytecode. The segfault here is the main issue I have with OCaml native code. OCaml-R can be found on the following links. Source code: http://yziquel.homelinux.org/gitweb/?p=ocaml-r.git;a=summary

[PATCH] generator: Add visibility to action struct
The visibility field in action replaces in_fish, in_docs and internal. The defined types are: VPublic: A public API. This is exported and documented in all language bindings, and in guestfish. VStateTest: A public API which queries the library state machine. It is exported and documented in all language bindings, but not guestfish. VBindTest: An internal API used only for testing

[PATCH 0/5] RFC: switch augeas APIs to OCaml
This synchronizes the embedded ocaml-augeas copy, and reimplements the augeas APIs using it (dropping all the C code). The behaviour seems unchanged, although I may have not tested all the various corner cases. I'm not going to put this upstream because there's no benefit. However it is useful to record the patch on the mailing list. Rich.
