[PATCH] Fix various -Wformat problems.
Updating gnulib has caused -Wformat-signedness to be enabled. This has revealed many problems in C format strings. The fixes here fall into the following main categories: - Using %d with an unsigned parameter. - %x and %o expect an unsigned argument. - uid_t and gid_t are unsigned on Linux. The safe way to print these is to cast them to uintmax_t and then print then using the %ju

[PATCH 1/3] src: generate code for printing contents of structs
Extend the generator to generate a source (and the header for it) with functions that print the content of a guestfs struct. The code is modelled after the code for it in fish.ml, although made a bit more generic (destination FILE*, line separator) so it can be used also in the library, when tracing. This just introduces the new code and builds it as part of the helper libutils.la. ---

[PATCH 1/6] p2v: move kernel config to perl script
Instead of generating the p2v kernel config using the OCaml generator, create a Perl script to do this job, mostly at build time. This is done to rely less on the generator for p2v, and because the generation of these sources is quick enough that it can be done at build time (instead of shipping the generated sources in dist tarballs). The generate-p2v-config.pl mimics what

HOWTO Create a PDF Writer in samba
Hi all, Thought I'd post this to the list as I found a better way of doing it. Nice to have for posterity. Please include it in the source of samba if you wish - I hereby license it under GPL 1. install ghostscript (most distributions include it anyway) 2. put the following in the file /usr/sbin/pdfprint and make it executable by whatever your guest user for samba is : #!/bin/bash

[PATCH v1 0/2] Btrfs-progs: commands "resolve inode" and "resolve logical"
The kernel patch series just sent (Subject: "Btrfs: scrub: print path to corrupted files and trigger nodatasum fixup") introduces two new ioctls to do in-kernel filesystem path construction. This series provides the corresponding userspace changes, adding two new commands to the btrfs utility: -- btrfs resolve inode [-v] <inode> <path> resolves an <inode> to all

p2v: Various cleanups.
These are a prelude to fixing https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1590220 A lot of the virt-p2v configuration code was duplicated manually. These changes make sure that most of it is generated. Rich.

[PATCH 0/6] p2v: start making it independent
As preliminary steps in splitting virt-p2v to an own repository, start making p2v more independent within libguestfs. This is accomplished by the following changes: - generate the p2v kernel config sources & docs at build time using a Perl script, rather than the generator (so no need for OCaml when building from git, and no generated sources in dist tarballs) - create two local test

Lua improvements
Here are a few patches I applied to get the Lua bindings to build correctly with different versions of Lua. I am not particularly happy with generating all the test scripts just for the shebang line. Since it has been a while since I had to edit autoconf/automake, this was the best I could come up with. Cheers, -Hilko

[0/5] guestfish: detect stdout-write failure
Nearly any program that writes to standard output can benefit from this sort of fix. Without it, running e.g., ./guestfish --version > /dev/full would exit successfully, even though it got ENOSPC when writing to the full device. That means regular output redirected to a file on a full partition may also fail to be written, and the error ignored. Before: $ guestfish --version >

[PATCH 1/2] Convert all TABs-as-indentation to spaces.
Per discussion on IRC, here are two changes to convert all TABs-as-indentation to spaces. The first one is the fully-automated conversion. However, note that the command mentioned uses a file (the .x-sc* one) that is added only in the following patch. The second patch adds rules to help keep things that way: Document and enforce the new spaces-only indentation policy. * cfg.mk

[PATCH v2 0/7] Add symbol versioning (now working).
This rather more complex patch series adds symbol versioning (7/7 shows it in action). This works for me, tested by running old and new virt-inspector binaries against the new library. Rich.
