total warning-removal for daemon/
The warnings in daemon were aggravating and risky
for development (too easy to miss new ones) so I spent some
time last week and today working on removing them.
The first patch gets us down to almost no warnings with
the original -Wall setting. That was by far the hardest part.
Once I'd done that, I enabled nearly all of gcc's warnings via
gnulib's warnings and manywarnings modules

[PATCH 1/2] generator: add TestRunOrUnsupported test type
Create a new TestRunOrUnsupported test type, which represents a test
sequence where a failure with ENOTSUP in the last command only marks the
test as skipped. To be used mainly when testing features available only
with some versions of helper tools used in the appliance, for example.

[PATCH 0/4] add GUID validation (RHBZ#1008417)
Hi,
this patch serie adds a new GUID type in the generator, which would do
the same as String, but also validating (just in the C output) the
passed GUID string.
This allows to reject invalid GUIDs before passing them to low-level
tools.

[PATCH 1/2] Convert all TABs-as-indentation to spaces.
Per discussion on IRC, here are two changes to
convert all TABs-as-indentation to spaces.
The first one is the fully-automated conversion.
However, note that the command mentioned uses a file
(the .x-sc* one) that is added only in the following patch.
The second patch adds rules to help keep things that way:
Document and enforce the new spaces-only indentation policy.

[PATCH 0/7] Add tar compress, numericowner, excludes flags.
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=847880
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=847881
This patch series adds various optional arguments to the tar-in and
tar-out commands.
Firstly (1/7) an optional "compress" flag is added to select
compression. This makes the calls tgz-in/tgz-out/txz-in/txz-out
deprecated, and expands the range of compression types available.

[PATCH] tests: c-api: add $datadir and $databuilddir
Modify "tests" to expand any kind of environment variable than just
$srcdir; use $datadir and $databuilddir to point to the files in
$srcdir/tests/data and $builddir/tests/data, so it is easier to point at
the data for the tests.
Most of the work (except the $databuilddir and the integration in the
Makefile.am) has been done as part of larger changes by

[PATCH] Add tune2fs support to libguestfs.
At the moment OpenStack uses kpartx and nbd to resize filesystems and
inject files to guests. I sincerely hope they don't allow untrusted
users to upload guest images / AMIs :-(
To fix this I'm looking into adding libguestfs support as an optional
backend in OpenStack.
The only missing feature in libguestfs is the ability to call tune2fs
on a filesystem. This patch series adds tune2fs

[virt-v2v] "make distcheck" now passes
There were a few "infelicities" that kept the "make distcheck"
test from passing. These three patches combine to fix all of them,
punting on only one by disabling the install-data-hook rule.

[PATCH] generator: Share Common_utils code.
For a very long time we have maintained two sets of utility functions,
in mllib/common_utils.ml and generator/utils.ml. This changes things
so that the same set of utility functions can be shared with both
directories.
It's not possible to use common_utils.ml directly in the generator
because it provides several functions that use modules outside the
OCaml stdlib. Therefore we add some

[LLVMdev] A couple questions
Question 1:
I am trying to get a function not to be inlined. What are llvm's rules
pertaining to inlining? I have tried all of the standard gcc options
for turning off inlining and they do not seem to work. Here is the
sample code that I am working with:
#include <stdio.h>
void print_string(char* strval);
int main()
{
char* strval = "Hello world\n";

[PATCH v2] Add tune2fs command.
The changes since the previous patch:
- safe ADD_ARG macro for adding arguments to a fixed size stack array
- support for testing functions that return RHashtable, ie. tune2fs-l.
- add tests that set (tune2fs) and get (tune2fs-l) various parameters.
- only one 'intervalbetweenchecks' parameter (in seconds)

[0/5] guestfish: detect stdout-write failure
Nearly any program that writes to standard output can
benefit from this sort of fix.
Without it, running e.g., ./guestfish --version > /dev/full
would exit successfully, even though it got ENOSPC
when writing to the full device. That means regular
output redirected to a file on a full partition may also
fail to be written, and the error ignored.

Why insisting?
Anyway appended is a dumper version. I could put up a binery version
if needed. Let me know if so.
