enabling more syntax-checks
The first c-set cleans up the list of excluded syntax-checks. The second enables the sc_avoid_ctype_macros test and changes each use of a ctype macro like isspace to c_isspace. This makes it so such tests (often parsing-related) is locale-independent. Otherwise, in some odd corner cases (combination of non-C locale and perverted inputs), I suspect that libguestfs tools would mistakenly accept

[PATCH] Clarify the error message when unavailable functions are called (RHBZ#679737).
From: "Richard W.M. Jones" <rjones at redhat.com> Callers are supposed to use the availability API to check for functions that may not be available in particular builds of libguestfs. If they don't do this, currently they tend to get obscure error messages, eg: libguestfs: error: zerofree: /dev/vda1: zerofree: No such file or directory This commit changes the error

[LLVMdev] Move ATTRIBUTE_FOO macros to LLVM_ATTRIBUTE_FOO
I'd like to rename all of our macros to have LLVM_ or CLANG_ as a prefix (not sure if there are any where the latter is more appropriate, but I may find them). As LLVM and Clang are more and more widely used as libraries, these generic names have a high likelihood of collision with existing macros: http://google.com/codesearch?as_q=ATTRIBUTE_UNUSED I'm adding the new macros now, and if I

[PATCH 1/2] Convert all TABs-as-indentation to spaces.
Per discussion on IRC, here are two changes to convert all TABs-as-indentation to spaces. The first one is the fully-automated conversion. However, note that the command mentioned uses a file (the .x-sc* one) that is added only in the following patch. The second patch adds rules to help keep things that way: Document and enforce the new spaces-only indentation policy. * cfg.mk

[PATCH, v2]: xl: move domain struct init functions to libxl
Changes since v1: - Include nic,net2,vkb,vfb init functions --- This allows libxl users to get some sane default values for this complex set of structures. This is purely code movement and there are no functional changes except for a trivial error handling change in nic device init. [PATCH] Replace shell_quote function with %Q and %R printf specifiers.
At the moment the daemon code contains an incredibly hairy function called shell_quote for safely quoting strings passed to the shell. The patch replaces that with a glibc custom printf format (actually two, but very closely related), %Q and %R. %Q is like %s but it safely shell quotes the string. %R is like %Q but it prefixes the path with /sysroot. Example usage (w/o error checks):
