unimplemented function gdiplus.dll.GdipGetGenericFontFamilySansSerif
I'm trying to install My Siruis Studio (to access a Sirius satellite radio) with Wine 0.9.52 on in Intel iMac running OS X 10.5.1. This application requires MS .NET Framework 1.1, so I tried installing Mono 1.26 instead. This allowed the My Siruis Studio installation to complete, but an attempt to run My Siruis Studio fails immediately with: Call from 0x7b830330 to unimplemented

Tried to read the log and the only thing apparently wrong is with calls to unimplemented functions of gdiplus.dll, GdipSetClipRect, GdipSaveGraphics and GdipSetClipRegions. Last line in debug: Attribute Error: function 'SHQueryUserNotificationState' not

AutoWikiBrowser (AWB) is a Wikipedia-oriented browser for doing repetitive editing: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:AWB AWB is a .NET 2.0 application. It doesn't work in Wine under Mono 1.2: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8499 - but I see Mono 1.9 (preview of 2.0) is out, so decided to give it a go: http://www.go-mono.com/mono-downloads/download.html It doesn't actually

Wine should use Mono and Gecko installed in the system
Wine FAQ says Wine is not an emulator, but in fact, it works like an emulator - it does not enhance Linux API, but simply creates a virtual Windows environment completely isolated from other parts of the system. * If one runs a .NET based program, Wine requires Win32 Mono to be installed under Wine, instead of Mono already installed in the system. * If a program tries to do html rendering, Wine

X-Lite-4.0 barfs on install. What's Mono?
This is a low priority thing, but X-Lite-4.0 is not out for linux and the windows version barfs, and I'm wondering if anyone can spot what's going wrong. I go through menus, agree to license, accept default install location & click next. Nothing happens. Click next again, and I have the "install" option. That exits prematurely with this: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ bash-4.1$ wine

Diablo 2 Glide Wrapper does not work with full screen mode
As the title mentions, full screen mode does not work with Diablo 2 while using Glide Wrapper, but it does "work" for Direct3D (it's incredibly choppy/laggy though). Another problem: In window mode, it runs very smoothly, but if I happen to click outside of the window, Wine freezes and I have to terminate the program. I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 and using the latest wine

Attempting to bypass .net check/use mono
I am trying to use the mono26 install from winetricks in order to run an installer that fails to find: C:\\windows\\Microsoft.NET\\Framework\\v2.0.50727\\mscorsvw.exe even though I have both that 2.0 and the 3.0 framework in my .wine/ folder. Once it fails to find that file it starts to run a 3.5 framework installer that wine doesn't quite have working yet. Does anybody have any advice on

Wine and Mono
Hello everyone! Wine is an excellent emulator for Windows applications, and Mono is excellent .net framework for Linux. But there is one problem: most new applications combine .net with win32 API, so it is not possible to run them via mono nor via wine. Is wine going to be combined with mono so such applications will work?

Question on .NET, Mono and Visual C++ and WINE
Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, forgive me if not. I will soon start to contribute to a FOSS project written in Visual C++ and Visual Studio. I am a pure Linux user and was wondering what is the right way to make this app finally run on WINE. And how may I use a Visual Studio project on Linux? I know, this is probably kinda off-topic, but after all I still need a

.NET 4.0 support in Mono
Hello :) I wanted to install the .NET framework 4.0 but the installer crashed every time etc. so I successfully installed the actual Mono version 2.10 instead, but my Windows .NET 4.0 requiring application (Magic Online) still want me to install the framework. What goes wrong? Do I have to tell the program where to find Mono? Sorry for my bad English [Rolling Eyes] ...
