ok i'm in a really tiresome and annoying pickle here. aurite, so, i installed steam on latest wine w/e and installed cs 1.6, i can join multiplayer servers but whenever i'm playing there's this instant lag like whenever i'm walking or something i just lag for some odd reason and it happens in an instant and it gets really annoying and i can't play cs cuz of this. me need help

HI all, I have Wine 1.3.26 installed on my Linux Mint 11 system, and have installed Steam. Steam runs, but it runs incredibly slowly, and causes the rest of the computer to also run very slowly. Hey I managed to walkaround that you cant run the MSI installer for steam in Wine 1.01 , but i cant start the steam program. First i got that it crashed in update but i walkaround that as well, now i cant start the program steam, no error messege or anything.... Any ideas?

i have steam installed fine, everything works the way its suppost to, but i cant get CS or any of the 1.6 games to open. when i open any of them it makes my desktop rediculously big and i cant click on anything. the only way to get out of it is to hit ctrl alt delete and log out. anyone have any ideas? steam is like the only reason i got wine.

I always get the error of wine internal errors invalid parameters when I run Steam. It prevents me from viewing the store and anything related to the Internet. It appears as though the program loses connection? or some like of "flash player" crashes. I'm not familiar with how steam works, but it definitely worked in the past and now it doesn't after I compiled the latest source.
