No sound in World of Warcraft - intermittant.
At first I thought it was due to running Mangler simultaneously, but recently we've had no sound in World of Warcraft.
One night when I was setting up to raid that night, I started WoW, and sound worked fine. I then quit WoW, started Mangler, started WoW, had sound in the first but not the second. When WoW started this dialogue box popped up saying that a change in hardware had been detected

Re: Wine and WoW Cataclysm Patch 4.0 troubleshooting thread
That's what I'm going to do, after purging all the current nvidia stuff frommy system.
The second thing I'm going to do is download, build and install the latest decent version of Wine.
Thanks for all your advice. It's been really helpful.

One more question. What with OpenGL support getting dropped from WoW, I was wondering if it was worth trying to use DirectX under

Re: Wine and WoW Cataclysm Patch 4.0 troubleshooting thread
I'm using nvidia-current for the drivers and nvidia-glx-185 (which appears to be the latest although I did see mention of version 195 somewhere on the internet).
Can you post your xorg.conf, Config.wtf (or at least the relevant parts of it) and anything else that may be useful (glxinfo output?) please. I'd really appreciate it.
Also, do you remember any settings or changes you did after

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] Output UTF-8-encoded characters as identifier characters into assembly by default.
This is a behaviour configurable in the MCAsmInfo. I've decided to turn
it on by default in (possibly optimistic) hopes that most assemblers are
reasonably sane. If this proves a problem, switching to default seems
reasonable.

plot command error message
I tried to plot a clustered linear regression model with the cplot command in R (code below). Leaflet is a binary variable (I know logit would be better), partisan is nummeric variable (0-4) and partisan_mis a dummy (0,1). As you can see it is clustered around two variables: around individuals and around the specific survey. When I try to run the cplot command I always get this error message:

[LLVMdev] Question about linking llvm-mc when porting a new backend
Hello all,
I am a LLVM newer who want to add a new backend(EBC) into LLVM. After coping
the related
files from another target and modifying it, I meet a problem when I build
the project. The
error message is as follows:

[LLVMdev] RFC: Mangling Unnamed Global Values
The symbols I'm interested in already have internal linkage (as you
would expect). But because the mangler is in charge of assigning them
names, they never seem to be decorated with the 'L' in front. . . .

[LLVMdev] How to create a mangler instance from target machine?
Dear LLVM,
Might be a easy question for someone, but not for me now. Consider there is
a TargetMachine instance. Having this target, how could you get a
corresponding Mangler class instance?
Mangler depends on MCContext, which is connected with LLVMTargetMachine
inherited from TargetMachine. However, LLVMTargetMachine is only available
for targets machines implementations, and not available

(just for fun) I've tried to compile LLVM under cygwin.
With "make -k" I got only:

[LLVMdev] C++ Name mangling
No, the LLVM Mangler class really only does low-level manglings like
'_' prefixing, stdcall mangling on Windows, and escaping funny
symbols.
The Clang mangler, however, does what you want. But, you'll need to
feed it a clang AST in order to get a name out. Depending on the
parameters of your function, this may be easy or hard.

Anyone using an Intel Atom ?
Just built myself a little test server with an Atom 230 processor in it
and am quite impressed with it so-far.
Wondering is anyones used one in anger for a VoIP platform?
I'm after something with a bit more oomph than the VIAs I'm currently
using that I can use in a small box (mini ATX size) without going
full-blown Xeons, etc.
Cheers,
Gordon
