Icecast startup script for Centos 5.5
Hi all. me again!
I've decided after some good advice from Sascha
to go with a CentOS build. I've got icecast installed and running,
however I'm having difficulty in finding a script that will start the
icecast server on boot. Does anybody have one built, or know where I can
find one?
Ive kept everything pretty much standard in that the icecast
server uses user "icecast"

Trying to use current R2spec on RHEL.
Is there somewhere a succinct guide to just how much extra crud we need
to install on RHEL to make use of EPEL packages?

I have this working great now, I'm just struggling to find an init

Icecast startup script for Centos 5.5
Thanks Keith for the pointers on icecast and ices-cc installation how-to.
I followed the instructions and completed the two installations in no time.
Once, the two programs are installed on CentOS, what's next.
Lend a guiding hand to an eager newbie. And keep those straight guidelines
coming, please.
TIA

libguestfs-1.6 on RHEL5.5 Server
I need to install libguestfs 1.6 on Red Hat 5.5 Server.
I have tried to download libguestfs-1.6.0-1.fc13.1.x86_64.rpm and install
it, but there is plenty of unresolved dependencies, which I am not able to
satisfy with the repositories I am connected to. The same issue blocks me
when I try to compile the source code.
So I tried to add fedora repository into the system:

Use EPEL without redirection ?
Hi,
Is there any way to deactivate the redirection to a mirror when using
the third-party EPEL repository ?
Our network uses a transparent HTTP/HTTPS proxy with a local AC. We can
create exceptions for sites like centos.org or
download.fedoraproject.org, but whenever we want to install a package
from EPEL, the mirror redirection causes an error due to redirection.
Any suggestions ?

Network guru please help: baffled by missing file
The mirrorlist entry in my Fedora-11 /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-update.repo
reads:
mirrorlist=https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/metalink?repo=updates-released-
f$releasever&arch=$basearch
As far as I can see, this means that yum is looking for
the file metalink at mirrors.fedoraproject.org ?
If I try "sudo yum update" I get:
