I just dealt with this similar type of problem with Teliax. You have to request unlimited simultaneous calls from them. They default to only 2 initially, I'm guessing to prevent you from eating up a lot of minutes. As Christopher says, there are many ways to get the same effect, but they ALL require you to build custom iPhone apps.
