hi guys :) I would like to play SPORE with wine. I have read a lot of commands that this should be possible with the current wine build (witch special patch). My problem is, that SPORE doesn't like my graphiccard. So it alerts that my GC isn't supported by the game. I have up until recently been using Windows XP Home, but after installing Spore, SecuROM was also installed onto Ring 0 of the Kernel and has pretty much fried my computer. I'm a first-time Linux and Wine user, and I don't understand how to run Wine yet. I have Mint Elyssa, and I am trying to install Spore. When I try to run autorun.exe, this message appears: Error starting autorun program: Permission Denied I got this same message before and after installing Wine. What on earth has happened to spore. It used to work fine with wine 1.1.12, no real problems. Picked it up today to have a game and nothing, it tries to load and don't even get to the front screen. I have wine 1.1.16 and have downgraded to 1.1.13 with no joy. I have Nvidia graphics driver 177, downgraded to 173 and no joy. That is a shame, I did enjoy that game and now it's not working.
