Namo FreeMotion - how to run in Wine?
I need to run Namo FreeMotion 2008 in Wine.
I have installed wine 1.131 and some winetricks, here ist the message, if I try to start the program:

Noob: Program ran on wine in Ultimate Ubuntu, and not Mint?
Hi everybody!
I've finally found a distro that suits my needs from the starts... well except for one small thing.
In "Ultimate Edition" (formerly Ultimate Ubuntu) I had no problems installing and running the Foundry's Nuke compositing software. (not in the AppDB)

Initial errors when running winecfg for first time
Hi all.
Long time without using Wine, my previous Linux installation got broken and waited for next official release. Really feel like a newbie again. Now I'm using openSUSE 12.1 x86_64 kernel 3.1.0-1.2.

Golden Software - Grapher 8
Hi everyone,
I installed Golden Software Grapher 8 on wine 1.3.4. The installation ends with an error message which I think is not a problem. The program starts automatically after the installation and it seems to work flawlessly.
Awkwardly, the program doesn't work anymore after the first time, it runs but it's window cannot be controlled in any way. I got the following messages:

X-Lite-4.0 barfs on install. What's Mono?
This is a low priority thing, but X-Lite-4.0 is not out for linux and the
windows version barfs, and I'm wondering if anyone can spot what's going
wrong. I go through menus, agree to license, accept default install location
& click next. Nothing happens. Click next again, and I have the "install"
option. That exits prematurely with this:

MSI failure while trying to install gmax
So I am trying to get back to finding the error in gmax, and I have to reinstall it because of the new machine and all. So I tried just putting it in after downloading it from TurboSquid. It complained about MSI having a major error, and quit, leaving me with a partial install. I got a panel suggesting this might be a problem with wine.
So I used winetricks to install msi2. Failed again:

Various problems with .NET1.1 and C++ installation
When trying to launch a program which uses .net 1.1 (DDO online) I get the following error:

winetricks vcrun200* does not install the overrides properly
In current git, when I attempt to run winetricks vcrun2005 or vcrun2008, the installation completes in console, but the overrides do not get installed in windows/system32. Anybody else has this problem?

service pack 3 for office 2007
I am running ubuntu 11.10 with wine-1.3.28. When I run the exe file for the service pack from a terminal window, after going through the EULA and extracting files, I finally get a little pop-up saying "The installation of this package failed".
