World Basketball Manager. Any possible way to run?
I'm in struggle to let the game run. The best result i've got is "run-time error 76" which led me to nothing.
Tried various ways to run the game. winetricks, playonlinux. No result.
I'm using Ubuntu x64. Wine - 1.36. Nvidia 8600.
Install dependencies:

compiling python2.5 (msys+mingw+wine) using msvcr80 assemblies

after some quiet advice i've tracked down a method for compiling
python2.5 using msvcr80 that _will_ actually work both under native
win32 and also under wine, but it's a _bit_ dodgy, as i couldn't track
down where you're supposed to put Microsoft.VC80.CRT, except in the
path of the application where it's running from. so, instead, i put

Regression today?
I can't run DNS 10 with today's git.
Re-compiled git, re-installed the program. Installation works but first run does not.
I think there is a regression. Will take a look at it tomorrow.

I have sucessfully compiled LLVM with CMAKE generator "Visual Studio 9 2008
Win64" (OS Windows 7).
-But when I run the Fibonacci example program in "release" mode, I get a
crash with this visual studio popup message :

Hi
I'm new here, but not new to wine...
Im triying to install SAP GUI version 7.20 (i'm working as abaper, and hate windows).
So far i managed to install it (wine 1.3.27)
with a fresh prefix:
winetrick msxml3
then run the installer it will crash, but it continue running on background, keep it running until a message will be shown.

Getting This App Working In Wine
I have an application that analyzes fibre channel traces that I am trying to get working in Wine. I downloaded winetricks and installed the .Net 2.0 framework, the MFC libraries and th VC++2005SP1 libraries the app needs. Then I installed it using the wine msiinstaller command. Photoshop cs5 broke after update
I was using Photoshop CS5 on my Ubuntu 11.04 system fine. I did an update of wine, now it won't work. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall wine, and copied the PS install from windows, it still has errors.

Help installing large files - Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9.5 and 10.0
I have been trying to install Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9.5 and 10.0 using wine's most current git.
With 9.5, the install fails to install the largest files, which are quite huge.
With 10.0, the files are even larger, and the install just hangs and won't continue.
?? Wine 9.0, which has slightly smaller file sizes, installs and runs pretty well.

I am trying to update EndNote X1 with a patch that improves the handling of odt files (patch and info at http://www.endnote.com/support/ENX101_Win_updater.asp). Wine (0.9.60) crashes on installation with the message:

Running DNS 9.5 Standard
Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9.0 Preferred installs and runs. However, DNS 9.5 installs well but does not. The output is as follows.
I have been told that there is an oleacc function that has not been implemented in wine, but does anyone else have any suggestions?

FEAR 2 on WINE 1.1.21???
Hi there,
I got this problem, it's making me frantic:
I got fear 2 as a present and installed it via wine, after installing vcrun2008 with winetricks, the game worked perfectly(wine 1.1.18/19). The Texture were black at 1st, but deactivating the game's graphic effect Ambient Lighting(not sure about the name, but it's the last option in the fear 2 graphic settings) fixed the game.
