Problems with Final Fantasy XI Online - Japanese
Hello all, I've been trying (and thus far failing) to get the Japanese version of FFXI working under wine. I have been playing FFXI here in Japan since the release, so I have the original Japanese 4-disc CD set, plus the extra CDs/DVDs for each different expansion. I originally started with wine-1.3.8, and for the most part, the CD installs and POL/FFXI updates worked fine -- I was actually

But then an error appeared: _______ Error Code = 20008027 Can only be displayed properly in 32-bit true color. Start Playonline viewer anyway? _______ If I click no, it closes. If I click yes it actually starts up, plays music, and I

different uuids, but still "Attempt to migrate guest to same host" error
Background: ---------- I'm trying to debug a two-node pacemaker/corosync cluster where I want to be able to do live migration of KVM/qemu VMs. Storage is backed via dual-primary DRBD (yes, fencing is in place). When moving the VM between nodes via 'pcs resource move RES NODENAME', the live migration fails although pacemaker will shut down the VM and restart it on the other node.

Samba AD replication on new installation of Samba 4.0
Hi, Fantastic that Samba 4.0 has been released, I've just installed and joined it to an existing AD (single Win2k8R2 server running Exchange). The installation seemed to go well but I'm seeing odd messages when I show the replication status on both the Samba server and the Win2k8R2 server. Is there something I missed in the install? I followed the instructions outlined at

I followed the instructions for setting up FFXI on Wine (including copying the .dll from the Windows XP system) but when I launch pol.exe, it just comes up with a black screen. I can hear music for a few minutes but then it crashes. Anyone have any ideas? Code: nate at tux:~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/PlayOnline/SquareEnix/PlayOnlineViewer$ wine pol.exe err:alsa:ALSA_CheckSetVolume Could not

Viable Approach to Parallel R?
All, We are researching approaches to parallel R with the end goal of running R in a distributed manner on a Linux cluster. We expect of course to do some work decomposing our problems to be task-parallel or data-parallel, but wouldn't mind getting an initial boost working with "embarrassingly parallel" code sections and one of the approaches below.
