On which side these errors are?
Hello list. I've got following: rsync: opendir "client05" (in Profili) failed: Permission denied (13) rsync: delete_file: rmdir(client02/SendTo) failed: Permission denied (13) Am I correct if I say that the "opendir" is related to the source I'm trying to rsync, but the "delete_file" is related to the destination? Samba over IPX
I would like to add my case for a wish of IPX support in Samba: We use a number of CNC tool machines whose host is pure DOS based. Don't be surprised that DOS is stilll running somewhere. It is fairly OK when we get to the field of HW and real-time control, unlike Windows and the like... These hosts use IPX to access LAN shares. IPX is here preferable to TCP/IP because of its lower memory

bzImage size limits?
Hi, What the the size limit of booting bzImage file with syslinux ? I have tested different sized bzImage files, and when the files are small <800K, they work with syslinuz, but at some size larger they fail to work. This was the same problem loadlin1.6 had, but loadlin1.6c fixes the issue, and I can boot bzImage sizes up to 1.5Meg with loadlin, but syslinux fails. Can you confirm this

Upgrade to Samba 4.12 question
Hello, guys. I?d like to upgrade our Samba 4.11 AD to 4.12. In release notes, REMOVED FEATURES, I see this: ?Retiring DES encryption types in Kerberos. ------------------------------------------ With this release, support for DES encryption types has been removed from Samba, and setting DES_ONLY flag for an account will cause Kerberos authentication to fail for that account (see RFC-6649).? samba 3.4.7 as NT4 domain member and win9x

error when trying to copy file from samba share to old Windows CE share
Hello, This error started after upgrading my distro(did a fresh install of fedora 30 server edition), which upgraded samba from 4.1.20 to 4.10.4. If I try to copy a file using a Windows 7 PC from the samba share to an old Windows CE share (on a CNC router table, so can't upgrade it) it tells me: An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file. If you continue to receive this error,

USB-serial adapter for CentOS 7
I need to connect an older APS UPS unit to a machine running CentOS 7. Unfortunately the UPS only has a serial port whereas the computer does not. I am aware that there are USB-serial adapters but that the hardware or the drivers might fall short of expectations. Does anyone have positive experience with such an adapter? Or, conversely, would recommend avoid a particular adapter?

[LLVMdev] BackedgeTakenCount calculation for fortran loops and DragonEgg gfortran-4.6
This is the .ll for that graph (attached). I think I understand what you are saying. This particular testcase returns CNC not because the exit block doesn't have a unique predecessor, but because the unique predecessor (the inner loop block) has a successor that is inside the loop (in this case itself, because it's the inner loop block). That doesn't change, anyway, the assuption that

disable SMBv1 on AD
Was looking into how to disable SMBv1 and NetBIOS on a Samba AD. I suspect that if one just wants to support Win7 and "greater" this should work. However to prevent some open NetBIOS ports the "nbt" service must be removed from the "server services" entry. Basically these two entries (note nbt missing in the services line): server services = s3fs, rpc, wrepl, ldap,

Application Metadata
Hi, I'm sorry to say that I've found the libFLAC++ interface and documentation pretty slim and baffling. What I need to do is add some application-specific metadata to a FLAC file (i'm using the FLAC++ fileencoder). It is currently just a string of characters, which doesn't need to be null-terminated. I've looked through the docs, i've looked through the tests, and
