Hi all I've found a few different packages (RAV, Kaspersky,Vexira, Clam ...) which offer Anti-Virus features for Linux servers. It looks like RAV specifically supports Samba servers. My question is: Can anyone relay their experiences / opinions / thoughts about which one would work best in a multiple-server environment (~100 Windows Clients)? Just a heads up. I recently built a new (XPSP2) image with the Kaspersky 6.0.3.837 on it. I had issues joining the domain with the AV running. Had to disable. (A domain controller for domain ABC could not be contacted.....) I didn't have AV on my previous image, so I don't know if version 5 did the same. I don't recall seeing this on the list, so I thought I would throw it out....

Hi I got some strange issues on my samba4.0.1 install yesterday. It happened a while after updating my xubuntu server 13.04 not 13.10. Everything seems to be working fine except shares. Hello, My installation of clamav is hosed up. It won't start due to a malformed database. I ran freshclam and updated the database but still have the problem.
