WinMSS error messages
Hi!
I'm quite new to this so bear with me for a moment before bashing me for not fixing this myself. I can make no progress using the search function as I have no idea what to search for [Embarassed]

Trying to run a exotic app "Saral Tax",
Hi,
"Saral Tax" is the only app that needs dual booting the PC. i'm trying to run this on wine and Arch linux. Fonts availabe through wine-doors are installed.
Installation of Saraltax is flawless. But only the splash screen is displayed when the app is invoked. Errors displayed when running from prompt is pasted below.

A Serial port program failed
i am trying to run a mobile phone communication program which used to
run on Windows and access my mobie phone's contact book via RS232
serial communication. after i installed and run in Wine, it popup the
main screen but soon halt. the folloing message printed on the
console:

Switched distros, now my applications don't work.

I had previously installed an MMORPG (Champions Online) and Internet Explorer 8 on Ubuntu 11.04 using Wine 1.2 and they both worked fine. When I upgraded to 11.10 I lost sound in the game and when I checked it had been upgraded to 1.3, so I switched back to 1.2 and the problem was resolved.

How come that module is not executed in Windows?
I have the following in vagrantfile in WIndows system.
config.vm.provision :puppet do |puppet|
puppet.manifests_path = "manifests"
puppet.manifest_file = "base-hadoop.pp"
puppet.module_path = "modules"
end
when i run vagrant provision, i do see manifest and module folders are
mounted and ssh into vm, I can find files in the following path

When I try the command
nmblookup -M TESTGROUP
querying TESTGROUP on 192.168.255.255
name_query failed to find name TESTGROUP #1d
My /etc/hosts file is

copy d:\bugs.ps \\ouessant\lexmark
after having deleted all the samba log files and restarted the SMBd daemon from the SWAT Web interface.
This leads to the INTERNAL ERROR, see samba.oulx
Now, to locate the problem, I tried the same kind of command on the same file, bugs.ps, but using the SMBCLIENT application from the Linux server itself, without changing anything, nor restarting the SMBd
