Oblivion, Low FPS, crashes.
Hello, I'm running Wine 1.3.23-1 under Arch Linux 64bit. Unfortunately Oblivion via Steam has a very low unplayable FPS even at the lowest settings, It also crashes before I even make it out of the prison cell at the beginning, I was wondering is this a known problem? if so what would be the solution. I've already read the Wine AppDB page, unfortunately nothing seems to help. Thanks.

Axis break with gap.plot()
Hi everyone. I'm trying to break the y axis on a plot. For instance, I have 2 series (points and a loess). Since the loess is a "continuous" set of points, it passes in the break section. However, with gap.plot I cant plot the loess because of this (I got the message "some values of y will not be displayed"). Here's my code: library(plotrix); #generate some data x

problem to install R-0.64.2 on mips-sgi-irix6.4
Dear all, I hope the following problem haven't been discussed here recently (I could not find anything about it the help archive files) : I tried to compile R-0.64.2 from the source files without much success... the last lines from the output of the ./configure command were : ---------------------------------------------------------- R is now configured for mips-sgi-irix6.4 Source

Inconsistent behavior for the C AP's R_ParseVector() ?
Laurent, the main point here is that ParseVector() just like any other R API has to be called in a correct context since it can raise errors so the issue was that your C code has a bug of not setting R correctly (my guess would be your'e not creating the initial context necessary in embedded R). There are many different errors, your is just one of many that can occur - any R API call that

Inconsistent behavior for the C AP's R_ParseVector() ?
Dear Laurent, could you please provide a complete reproducible example where parsing results in a crash of R? Calling parse(text="list(''=123") from R works fine for me (gives Error: attempt to use zero-length variable name). I don't think the problem you observed could be related to the memory leak. The leak is on the heap, not stack. Zero-length names of elements in a

Nbfw, Cross-subnet browsing
Hi, I'm currently using the nbfw (netbios forwarder - http://nbfw.sourceforge.net/) patch with samba on a linux masquerading firewall/router. It works pretty well. I was wondering if there was plan to include this patch in samba (or TNG) I was also wondering if there was any way to use this as a mean to do cross-subnet browsing efficient. The paradox is that browsing works better between a

.EXE refuses to launch after upgrade to Wine 1.3.29
Hello, I was using SkyPipeII.exe on Wine 1.3.24 successfully. I have upgraded to Wine 1.3.29, as part of Fedora 16 (64b) upgrade. Now the program does not launch anymore. I tries re-install and clean ~/.wine for fresh install. No success. I have: wine start SkyPipeII.exe fixme:exec:SHELL_execute flags ignored: 0x00000100 err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x682938e0 "loader.c:

Inconsistent behavior for the C AP's R_ParseVector() ?
Hi Simon, Widespread errors would have caught my earlier as the way that code is using only one initialization of the embedded R, is used quite a bit, and is covered by quite a few unit tests. This is the only situation I am aware of in which an error occurs. What is a "correct context", or initial context, the code should from ? Searching for "context" in the R-exts manual

Connection refused
Hi, Here is my situation : I have installed Samba 2.0.6 on my computer, which is running with Linux RedHat 6.0. When somebody tries to connect to this server, he's got a 'refused connection' message after he tried to my_IP@:139. I don't think the smb.conf is responsible because we have tried with the basic one, and it doesn't change anything. As I'm fresh in Linux (and

'Apparently' trouble with name spaces and Sweave...
Ben Bolstad experienced something odd while running R CMD check over a package of ours using r-devel (yesterday's fresh). He tracked down the problem to a vignette calling 'library(MASS)'. Please kindly ignore if this is a known (and temporary) issue. Laurent ----- Forwarded message from Ben Bolstad <bolstad@stat.berkeley.edu> ----- Return-Path:
