SOLVED: World of Warcraft d3d crash and rendring problems
Hi wine people,
with some help from the Nvidia forum I managed to solve a problem with World of Warcraft 4.x.x that I suspect is directX / Wine related:
Enabling -d3d9 and -d3d11 would cause the below mentioned problem with Wine 1.2.2, while it would crash World of Warcraft program under Wine 1.3.15 (Ubuntu 11.04 debs), while OpenGL runs perfectly (30-60 fps with all opengl settings on ultra):

[1.3.20] Mouse stuttering issue in World of Warcraft
I just installed 1.3.20 from the PPA on my Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit installation.
One of the new features is the "Option to clip the mouse inside fullscreen windows". I wonder if this is related to the problem that has now cropped up since 1.3.19.
In World of Warcraft when I move my mouse the position resets at constant intervals (~ 2 seconds). (When moving the mouse ever two seconds the

Problems with starting World of Warcraft under Ubuntu 10.04
Hey everyone,
I recently had to reset my whole computer and I thought, I can finally get rid of Windows and just use Ubuntu.
But now, I have problems starting World of Warcraft under Wine, which should actually work fine!
I have rendering activated, but when I start WOW with this:
Code:
:~/Wine/World of Warcraft$ wine Wow.exe -opengl
I get the error:

World of Warcraft segmentation fault
I recently upgraded to a new hard disk and installed Kubuntu Hardy from scratch, I installed the latest version of wine 1.1.2 and tried to run World of Warcraft. I immediately get a segmentation fault with no other messages. I have tried installing a fresh copy of Warcraft from the install media with the same result. I also tried backing up to 1.1.1 with the same results and a fresh copy of .wine,

SegFault with World of Warcraft
Hello!
A rather new wine user here. I'm running a 64bit ArchLinux and have installed wine and practically all 32bit libs, so as far as I know, I shouldn't have a problem there.
I'm trying to play World of Warcraft, but when starting the game up, it complains about Segmentation Fault and something about the LD_LIBRARY_PATH.http://pastebin.com/m7d89e8d4

1-60 Horde Leveling Guide for World of Warcraft
I either play a male character named Mancow or a female character named
Joana. I have been first to 60 now on 6 different servers, one of my
goals with World of Warcraft is to get to 60 on new servers with the
least amount of /played time possible, this means each time I went to
60 in WoW I have been revising my routes in order to achieve a better
/played time. So far my best time is 4 days 20

World of Warcraft on Linux Mint or Ubuntu, a doubt
Hi everyone
I used to have Linux Mint 8 Helena and World of Warcraft patch 3.2.x, like less than a year ago
I play on private servers (just because there's no way of payment for blizzard servers from Peru), and i had a bad experience with wine 1.0 (or 1.1.33, i can't remember - the thing is that wine 1.2 wasn't released)
My FPS were like 19-20 when in windows it goes at 60-65, in

Mouse cursor not visible in World of Warcraft 3.0.9
I'm running Linux Mint 6 "Felicia" and Wine 1.1.18, and I'm trying to get World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King working. I was able to install everything and get it running, but after the intro movie, the mouse cursor is completely invisible. It's still there, as I can mouse over buttons and click them, but I have no idea where the cursor actually is. Every so often,

Problem with World of Warcraft
I am having great trouble running World of Warcraft, after it has been installed.
I copied over all the CD/DVD contents for both WoW and WoW:TBC on to my HDD and installed it, then patched it with Wine without a hitch.
However, now when I go to run the game I get the following errors in the console:
Code:

Ubuntu: World of Warcraft 3.3.5a OpenGL and Intel GMA issue
ok, I'll get straight to the point:
I'm trying to run World of Warcraft (Version 3.3.5 Build 12340) and I have an Intel GMA 4500MHD Integrated chipset, and I can login just fine, but when it tries to render a character, it crashes and spits out an error via the WowError.exe, and if I don't use OpenGL, it can play, but the FPS will spike horribly at random times, and all player

Latency issues with World of Warcraft vs root/user
Hello,
The issue I'm having is when I try to run Wow in a standard user account vs root. When I run as just a user I reach latency of up to 2600ms. Along with that I'm unable to enable all my addons due to the fact that my frame rate will drop to at extremely low levels. But when I run as root (I know this is a bad idea..that's why I'm trying to fix it) I'm able to enable all

Odd behavior in World of Warcraft
I am just messing around with wine and World of Warcraft, I am behind a
firewall and presently unable to get out to WoW, but can get to the login
screen fine.
The problem is that I can run it with a clean .wtf (config file) and it
starts up ok with defaults (DirectX mode) and seems smooth, I exit and then
launch it again and it seems to "stutter" and I dont mean sound, but
graphically.
