Hi I have been using Wine to play Lotro on OS X 10.6.2 and everything has been fine until I upgraded to 1.1.35 yesterday. More sorting problems with untokenized index
I''m having problems sorting on untokenized fields. I have one field that sorts fine, but there are others that seem to sort on a different field. Here''s the index description: acts_as_ferret :remote=>true,:fields=>{:name=>{:boost=>2},:name_for_sort=>{:index => :untokenized}, :city=>{:boost=>2}, :city_for_sort=>{:index=>:untokenized},

[lld] section attributes lld can use to safely drop a section from obj files
Hello llvm\lld, The autlolink feature in swift appends a section to the obj files (.swift1_autolink_entries) that is later need to determine what t link against in the final linked binary. I am trying to get rid of these section in the final linked binary at link time. I understand this could be done with (llvm-objcopy --remove-section=.swift1_autolink_entries) but would like have the linker

WinBUGS breaks under WINE > 1.1.12
Dear Wine-friends, I was wondering if any of you would have a clue around why WinBUGS (http://www.mrc-bsu.cam.ac.uk/bugs/), a nifty Markov chain Monte Carlo sampler widely used in Bayesian statistical modelling, no longer works when run through any version of WINE newer than 1.1.12. I have encountered this issue of my machines at home (which runs on Zenwalk 6.0) and work (Mandriva 2008.1) a

Patch and files to add Listbook
I added the Listbook class (basically the same as the Notebook class with some name changes). I also took the time to write a sample that uses it. The sample interface uses XRC and is slightly more advanced than the current XRC sample. Sean _______________________________________________ wxruby-users mailing list wxruby-users@rubyforge.org

Wine OK on HP Mini 1000??
I recently got a mini 1000 with linux OS. I have always used windows and didn't know what OS was on the notebook until I started playing with it. I am slowly learning about linux, (very slowly). I want to download a windows program called " brain fitness Pro" onto my Mini. It appears that I need to download Wine first to accomplish this. I believe that the mini I have uses Gnome for

Wine slowing up games on each release?
Hello! Now i'm using Wine since 2 years and i always played GTA San Andreas with Wine, together with other games. Every Wine version is getting better and better and i saw a lot of games working simply by waiting it was implemented... Wine is now IMO becoming good for new games, they are more and more supported, less things to patch... But games are working, but getting slower and slower! A

Laptop for CentOS-5
I have a defective HP-Compaq nx9420 and so I am looking to replace it. I have pretty much decided to buy no further MicroSoft based products and would very much like to hear recommendations for a suitable notebook host to provide me with Linux based alternative. Given that all the basic functionality required is provided, the main thing that I am looking for is reliability of the host itself. I

Which native dlls can be safely embedded?
When I heard you can use original Windows dlls in Wine, I wondered if there is a list of dlls for which that makes sense. Well, I still wonder. Is there something like that?

Questions about git and building wine
I was asked to try a regression test (http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting) to see if the bug I am seeing now is not present when I revert to a previous version of wine. So, my first question is, how do I revert to a previous version of wine? I'm on Ubuntu 8.04, so it would be nice if there was an apt-get command I could use. I've tried "apt-get install wine-0.9.59", but

Ubuntu 10.10 AMD64 and building wine
Hooray! I got a new machine. However, if I want to continue doing things with wine, I need a little more information than is in the wiki on building wine for 32-bit and/or 64-bit operations. First question: Are the instructions for 10.04 still OK? Is there any real change? Second question: If I follow the line in the RegressionTesting page that says: [code]CC="ccache gcc -m32"

Dear, I have PDC Server running under Redhat 9 and use samba 2.2.7. It has running until now. That I know, users cannot access resources in the network if they don't join to Domain. Mini-centOS
I am using centOS for my server and centOS is extremely stable. I almost love centOS more than my wife. However, centOS is a bit heavy to run on my notebook (P III 1G, 256MB RAM). I need gnome, firefox, openoffice, realplayer, gaim, acrobat and thunderbird on my notebook, but if I install all of them (plus base-system), my notebook becomes very slow. I wish I could have a lighter version of centOS

floppy's led doesn't turn off. Can I safely pull off the floppy media?
syslinux 3.11 (from debian's 3.11-3 package) does it job. The machine boots as expected with an 1.44 floppy. Yet the floppy driver's led doesn't turn off. 1) Is this a syslinux issue? 2) Can I safely remove the boot floppy (media) without dameging it? From memory: $ cat syslinux.cfg say linux 2.6.14 (probably with debian modifications) default linux append root=/dev/nfs

when .Call can safely modify its arguments
Hi, "Writing R Extensions Guide" clearly states that a C-function interfaced via .Call() should not modify any of its arguments. However I wonder if there are exceptions to this rule, i.e. when .Call can safely modify the arguments. For example when a function creates a list that is then populated by a call to a C function: getData <- function() { data <- list(a=double(2),

Strange colors in wine-1.1.38 playing The Witcher
An issue has appeared in wine-1.1.38 while playing The Witcher. Many of the plants that should appear green are now bright orange. Reverting to 1.1.37 or earlier fixes the problem. This is kubuntu-9.10 64-bit system with NVIDIA 190.53 and 195.36.03 (tried both, same problem) drivers. Compositing disabled. The game is otherwise playable. Is there some configuration setting that has changed with
