error running a vb script in wine
Can anyone help me with this error? I get this error when I run my vb
script in wine. The script creates a shortcut and works fine when I
run it at a cmd prompt in Windows. I'm new to both vb script and wine.

VB on Linux with Wine
We have 50 complex applications written in Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0
providing banking solutions. We are seriously thinking of porting
our applications to Linux under WINE. Is it possible to do so?

VB 3.0 Installation on Wine
I'm having problems running VB 3.0 programs under Wine
and installing the VB 3.0 development environment.
According to the app DB people have got VB 3.0 running
before.
I'm running on Ubuntu Dapper (x86). Previous tests were
with earlier versions of Wine - I've had this problem

Trying to run a VB software using wine
Hello all,
I am trying to run a VB software using Wine but the software responds that it "ActiveX can't create objects". I have tryed many option that I know but no solution.

Wine Font Problem with VB app in Ubuntu
Greetings.
I have been trying to run a VB6 application in Ubuntu using Wine, but it
has a significant font issue. Having been successful in RedHat, where
there was no problem running the Application's fonts in Wine, it is
puzzling why this is not so in Ubuntu.
I have followed the support messages (both archived and current) to try

VB Script yet another post
Hello All,
I have a fresh install of CentOS6 and enabled the testing repos.
Wine version 1.3.29
The Wine 1.2.3X version was failing vbs so i upped the Wine version,
FYI.
I can not get an .vbs installer to run after being unpacked in an
install script. I have run the cscript and wscript test.vbs and always
fails in different methods.
Oddity ,when I try and manually register comctl32.dll it

ActiveX error when running an application(VB 6 based)
I am trying to run a home made Visual Basic 6 application on SUSE Linux
Desktop 10, using "wine-1.1.18-2.1"
Installation of VB 6 Application went smooth, and creates the directory
under "/root/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/PrjPatientInfo".
I then did the following
# cd /root/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files
# cd PrjPatientInfo
# wine cmd
C:\Program Files\PrjPatientInfo>

BricsCad and VB application
We are developing a VB 6.0 application to work with BricsCad (last
linux version).
But when I try to connect to BricsCad in Linux using the VB
application it hangs the system. But if I do the same in Windows it
works perfectly.
Wine doesn't throw any error message, just hang the computer.
Please help me!!

Need help with an old VB application
Hi,
i'm not new with wine but i'm in trouble with an old vb application.
I just tried everything i know to solve but i'm still at the start point.
I want to open a document (.rtf or .doc ) with OO . This VB application needs the full path of the application i want to use to open the documents. I write down the complete and full path ( Z:/xxx/yy/oowriter ).

How to run R-script from remote VB program
I have installed D COM server1.35 and can send a line
of R code and get a result from my VB (.net) program.

Error when running RSSEditor in Wine, dhtmled.ocx missing
I have just installed wine on ubuntu 9.04 and am trying to install RSSeditor www.rss-info.com. The programs creators say you need IE6 installed.
I installed the RSSeditor no problems and added it to the applications in 'configure wine'.
When i run the program the following error comes up:

problem with application using VB
Hi all
I need to run on a client PC a VB application that connects to a
database hosted on a windows server.
On the client PC is running ubuntu 10.04.
I have tried wine 1.3 (installed from WineHQ) and wine 1.2 (installed
from ubuntu repositories) and I always get the same error:

How do I debug a VB application install?
I'm trying to debug the installation of a Windows app written in VB (I think VB6). Following the troubleshooting guide here, and referencing the app's own install log, I realized some necessary DLLs were missing. Installed them using winetricks mfc42 vb6run mdac28.
