similar to: error installing adobe flash

I am using Vector Linux (Slackware based I think). I tried to install Adobe Flash CS4 Professional; the installer starts, but when it gets to "Checking system profile..." the installer gives gives me an error and closes. Mozilla seems to have disabled Adobe Flash in a recent update. I have one 6.3 Desktop load that I need flash. when directed to the Adobe site and download the latest version, yum tells me I have the latest version for x86_64 already installed. I have the Adobe (Macromedia) flash player installed on my CentOS 4.4 x86_64 system, but when I try to play a flash movie in SeaMonkey (or Firefox - doesn't matter) I get no sound. I'm using the nspluginwrapper 0.9.91.4 to make it work at all, but there's no sound. All my other sound devices/players work just fine, even my Windows guest on VMWare Server. Any ideas/suggestions? Flash used for editing on http://opensteetmaps.com isn't working at all in Firefox. On many other sites it works better with varying degree of malfunction. I have Flash 10 and Firefox-3.5.2. Is this a known problem? Is this likely to be fixed? AppDB only seems to talk about the design studio, not the Flash plugin itself. Yuri
